FTM First car seat

Bryson's mommy, toysrus.com
7 October 2014
  • Excerpt: I used this car seat with a regular safety 1st stroller and the base it came with. My son was 6 weeks old when I got rear ended on the highway. The person who hit me was going 40-45mph. This car seat, installed correctly, held my son in place and there was no damage done to him. I like this car seat but there are a few cons to it that I think if they were changed, I would consider it a 5 star product. the infant harness, or the head support, is really "cheap".
  • Pros: Easy to install, Safe, Sturdy
  • Cons: Bulky, Heavy, Infant Harness, Poorly Designed Harness

  • Summary: I like the price and design. I bought it for my newborn daughter. The only thing that would make it better would be a better head rest. My daughters head always falls to side cause the head rest isn't very supportive.

  • Summary: My daughter-in-law picked this carseat out because it converted from an infant carseat to a toddler carseat. It looks really nice, but the baby isn't here yet, so it's hard to tell how it will work, but so far so good...nice colors, is really roomy, and we'll know for sure in about 3 or 4 weeks...

  • Excerpt: We received this carseat as a gift from my mother-in-law. We were having a boy so it fit perfectly. The base was a bit difficult to install, but that seems standard for carseats. We have a small Nissan Altima, so we put it in the center with the lap belt. At first, we needed a rolled up towel to get the level in the correct spot. Our baby came five weeks early, so we had to do a "car seat challenge" before we could go. Luckily he passed!

  • Summary: I like how my baby fits in it! I feel that baby is safe and secure. It's a little heavier than I'm used to but I'll adjust. Cozy cover doesn't fit well leaving gaps along the sides. No product is perfect so overall I am happy with my purchase.

  • Excerpt: I have a four and a half month old who is quite a big boy.  He already weighs 17 pounds, and he is 26.5 inches long.  His smaller car seat was just not working anymore.  So, we purchased the Safety 1st Onboard 35 Infant Car Seat in black.  Some of the best features of it are: 1. Rear-facing up 35 pounds and up to 32” in height 2. 17% more leg room than most infant car seats 3. Carry Curve™ Handle features ergonomic design 4.

Nearly perfect!

  • Excerpt: After using a cheap Evenflo Travel System with my first, I knew what I wanted in an infant car seat, and another Evenflo Travel System was not it. I knew I wanted a higher weight limit seat. Living in the mid-west and facing very cold winters does not equal fun when dealing with a baby. Since thick layers should not be worn in car seats, the recommended transfer method is to bundle up baby, bring them into the warmed up car, unbundle them and place them in the car seat.
