Summary: We were given a wonderful travel system from another retailor and found this 2nd base on this site, due to price ordered it from here but read reviews on several sites that this base is to "fit all Safety 1st infant car seats". It does not. Nice base, solid and heavy but not correct one we were able to get any use out of.
Summary: I bought Safety 1st Infant Car seat for our first child, and didn't know how to chose good car seat. This is car seat very heavy and very difficult to my wife to take our child somewhere. May be this car seat very safe, I don't know, but for somebody who travel a lot, will be very difficult to use it. Right now I bought additional base just because too late change car seat for something else.
Summary: I bought this car seat in the Julianne print, but same model. It's heavy, and quite bulky! The canopy doesn't come down as far as you'd like it to to shade baby from the elements and it's rather flimsy. Fabric is soft, and design is nice; that was what attracted me to the car seat and that's about it. My almost 3 year old has the onBoard convertible car seat from safety 1st and we love it.
Excerpt: I received this car seat at my shower. Was super excited I di not have to buy one, but quickly got rid of it. It was hard to install. No matter what we did it always seemed like it was not installed properly, even when we brought it to a safety check to have the fire department install it. My son's head always flopped over, no matter what product we bought to help with his head support, trust me the support in this seat was non existent.
