Excerpt: We've been using this maxi cosi car seat for almost 8 months now. Got it at the Gap.com (go figure) when it went on sale. Thought it was a very nice looking and materials look solid and not cheap looking. Of course, this isnt a cheap item. It's great for transporting the baby between places without having to wake her up. Now, here are the things I don't like about it. It's so heavy, maybe also because the baby is getting bigger?
Excerpt: As a self business owner and new mom, I use the mico car seat almost every day. Finally my son, who is 7 months now, does not scream every time I put him in it. When he was first born, he hated this thing. I think the angle between the back and the seat is to sharp and it squishes the baby's abdomen. That said, I love that the car seat fits in with the Foray Stroller, which we also purchased. I do have to say, it looks very chic when we go out with it.
Excerpt: I struggled with this thing for the 11 months! First and foremost, it is important to note that this seat is great aesthetically. We got SO many complements on it. Plus I've never seen another one around. Its rarity has made it a bit of a novelty. Ours is a vibrant blue and black. (But from what I can tell it isn't being manufactured in that color scheme anymore). The seat feel like it is well constructed and solid, but my frustration comes from it's functionality.
Excerpt: I bought the Maxi Cosi Mico after I purchased the Maxi Cosi Foray at Babies-R-Us. At that point I had to order it online from another store because they were not available at Babies-R-Us. Well, I ended up loving the Maxi Cosi-Foray but the Mico ranks about average for me. First of all my baby was teeny tiny when she was born so it worked great at first but then she shot up and now she is only five months old and I can tell it won't be long until she is out of the seat...
Excerpt: To start out, this car seat served us well as far as safety goes, but as for as the other features, I am not really a fan. I found that as my son got larger, it became more and more difficult to get the buckle between his legs snapped, since you have to hold three pieces together to snap it in. Once the baby gets to the stage where he/she can wiggle and explore, it can make this task a bit more complicated. I much prefer the Britax click in.
Excerpt: I recently had my third child, and decided it was time for a new car seat. I received the Maxi Cosi Foray stroller as a gift from my mom, and decided that it only made sense to get the carseat that went with the stroller, for convenience sake. The Mico had decent reviews, and was supposedly super light, and I also liked the fact that you can use it without a base if need be.
Excerpt: We purchased the Maxi Cosi Mico rear facing infant car seat because it was compatible with out Quinny Buzz stroller system. When we first got the car seat I was very excited because the seat was colorful and stylish, it matched our travel system perfectly. We took our daughter home from the hospital in the seat attached to our stroller and I was pleased with the ease and function as it related to our stroller system: it snapped into the stroller base very easily and...
