Summary: This is NOT a true convertible car seat! I bought this seat for my son and it can not be installed rear-facing to accommodate the new regulations for car seats. I had to return it to get a true convertible car seat. Thankfully, Walmart was wonderful with the return process. This is only for children big enough to face foward.
Summary: My mother in law bought this carseat for my 3 year old daughter to make road trips from northern cali to southern cali. She had bought it because she had read a review saying it was great for reclining, which is not the case. It barely leans back and my daughters head wont stay back. The buckle is also difficult. Since the main reason for the purchase was for having a reclined car seat, i would say im not happy with it.
Summary: We thought the assembly was pretty simple but once together and we start using it every day we started to notice the buckles wouldnt release so that we could take our son out. This has happened on more than a dozen times- almost had to cut the straps just to get him out.
Summary: I bought this and then returned it. Compared to our other car seat it was difficult to install. We just didnt like it as much as our Evenflo car seat. It looked nice and my son looked comfortable when he tried it out in the living room...but we just didn't like how it installed. we like the secure latch system on our other seat better.
Summary: I literally curse this thing on a daily basis! If u have nails, forget it! The crotch button is very difficult to undo even with short finger nails. We bought 2 for our 2yr old and 4yr old, now they are 3 and 5. My husband put wd40 and we both still struggle with it! It must be a manufacturer thing since we have 2 and the are both miserable! Also, we have an Excursion and never seem to get the seats really tight and secure. So hard to install.
Summary: I loved everything about this car seat except the crotch strap. I don't know what Graco was thinking with this. It's location makes it impossible to click in with out having to loosen the straps all the way then it pinches the legs . My 3yr old is of average weight but there would be no room for her to gain an inch! I'm so bummed I'm returning this tomorrow.
Summary: We bought this car seat when my son was turning one and outgrowing his infant car seat. I liked the way it looked and had descent reviews. Its ok to install, but really hard to secure tightly. The worst part for us, and anyone who has ever put my son in it, is the clasp. It is so difficult to close, that most people give up and I end up doing it for them. This doesn't seem like a big deal, but drives me crazy!
Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Compact, Easy to Assemble, Sturdy
Summary: I purchased two of these seats for my 3 year old. The design concept is very similar to other brands, but I am very disappointed in the quality of the details - buckles are contructed of low-quality plastic and, as such, are difficult of maneuver. Chest buckle does not slide easily; is difficult to open. The price differential b/w this and the Britax is not that great - at the end of the day, I wish I had paid a little more up front.
Summary: After having been in a car accident I purchased this new carseat to replace a different brand car seat that had been in the accident. I greatly enjoyed our other car seat but wanted one that we would have for several years, which is why we decided on the Graco Nautilus. The seat itself is very nice and checks all of our boxes except for two. First, it is not rear facing. Although it is for children down to 20lbs it is not designed to be rear facing.
