Good idea poor executed

jimborae, Made for Mums
6 April 2014
  • Summary: While the Sirona is a good idea in principle it is let down by poor execution. The buckle for example is fidly and so when you have a squirming toddler it makes it hard to buckle the child into the seat.
  • Pros: Comfortable Machine washable covers Seems very safe Can be either front facing or Rear facing Easy entry and exit for child due to swivel feature
  • Cons: Poor design Can't clean base and swivel mechanism easily Poor buckle design Straps very stiff to tighten properly Base material wears very quickly

" Easy to use ERF seat with great features…"

Pepsiaddict, Mumsnet
21 April 2015
  • Excerpt: We bought this for our daughter a year ago and although it was expensive it is worth it. The swivel feature makes loading and unloading very easy and it is easy to use - only one hand required unlike the Britax Dualfix (which we also have) where you def need two hands to rotate the seat.

15 April 2015
  • Excerpt: I absolutely love this carseat and so does my daughter. I have the Sirona Plus and have highly recommended this seat to my friends and its a must buy if you have isofix. You can't put a price on your child safety and this is worth every penny!

" I love it…"

Booboostoo, Mumsnet
5 January 2015
  • Excerpt: I am a bit of a car seat addict, constantly upgrading, but this seat is here to stay. I absolutely love it. It is extremely easy to install, follow the video or written instructions and you can check each step was correctly fitted because little red tags turn green when you get it right .

" Easy to use extended rear facing seat…"

kaffkooks, Mumsnet
22 October 2014
  • Excerpt: On looking at extended rear facing seats they all seemed bulky and difficult to use apart from this one. It fits easily in my small car and it rotates so it's really easy to get my child into the seat, even when he's having a tantrum!

" Easy to use and appears comfortable…"

trilbydoll, Mumsnet
12 October 2014
  • Excerpt: I love this seat, carrying DD in the infant carrier was almost impossible by the time she was 10 months. This seat is good from 6 months. It is really handy to be able to leave it swivelled round to the side so when you get back to the car, it is ready to put baby straight in.

" Amazing!!!…"

ChantelD93, Mumsnet
12 October 2014
  • Excerpt: I love this seat. I was really interested in buying an ERF after reading up on it and the Cybex Sirona was a clear winner in my books. I preferred the clean, slick look for the Sirona over the offerings of other companies such as Britax, and the simplicity of the Sironas features such as: the fully...

" Awesome…"

MummyLouH, Mumsnet
29 August 2014
  • Excerpt: Ok so this car seat is on the expensive side BUT it is worth it. Firstly there is no need to get one group 0 seat and a group 1 seat after 1 year and secondly baby /toddler can stay rear facing for longer which is the safest way for them to travel.
