Excerpt: This is the second keyfit I purchase. I was a little disappointed in the small shade. I don't think it shields sufficiently. Wish I got the magic. Also, it's not really pink. More of a burgandy color. I was pleased however that this keyfit 30 fit with all the bases I had purchased in 2009. But this is one of the highest safety rated car seats by Consumer Reports, and safety is the most important feature when it comes to car seats.
Summary: I purchased this specific key fit with the "extreme" cover due to the better ratings on Healthystuff regarding flame retardants and heavy metals. It was one with the lowest. I have installed it with the Latch system in my back seat of my Mazda 5 and it was quite easy to do so. However, it is very big and we had to push the front driver's seat quite close to the front and my 6'2" husband is quite uncomfortable.
Summary: It is a great product don't get me wrong. Here is the problem though... My son is only four months old and weighs 14 pounds. Which is WELL under the weight limit. He is however, 26 inches long already. This product only accommodates to 30 inches eek we are 4 inches from this and he grew 4 inches from 2 months to 4 months. So, if he continues to grow at that rate he will be 30 inches by the time he is 6 months! It is also heavy once your baby is past 12 pounds.
Pros: Comfortable, Easy to Adjust, Easy to Clean, Easy to install, Safe, Sturdy
Excerpt: Pro's: Extremely easy to get in and out of the carseat base and the stroller. Very durable. Easy to wash. Comfortable for my baby. Con's: The canopy isn't big enough. When it's sunny out it doesn't come close to blocking out the sunlight from my baby's eyes. You have to get a canopy to block the sun (I use the JJ Cole Canopy).
Pros: Comfortable, Easy to Adjust, Easy to Clean, Easy to install, Safe, Sturdy, Stylish
Summary: This is an attractive carseat, good brand and is very safe....all the reasons my husband and I purchased it. The downside--it is WAY too heavy! Our son was 6 lbs. 12 oz at birth and it was hard to carry him then! Now, he's a big 9 month old and I have find it easier to carry my tall 4 year old inside when she falls asleep in the car because her arms and legs wrap around and distribute her weight evenly! My big boy plus this carseat are a struggle.
Pros: Comfortable, Easy to install, Safe, Sturdy, Stylish
Summary: i liked it alot in the winter until my baby started to gain weight, the carseat it heavier than normal ones. and in the spring and summer my son sweated with the material bc of the type it was, i just felt for the money it wasnt worth my son sweating and being uncomfortable! the stroller seteering is awsome but same material as carseat!
Summary: I waited 10 months to review this because I went off reviews to purchase most my items nice I'm a first-timer! I wouldn't rate it best five star overall because there's major inconveniences I really dislike. 1) Thera no slits to put it in a shopping cart ( I had no idea those even existed til I can't go shopping with my baby because the seat won't fit in the cart basket) 2) every time you take the seat out off it's base before you put it back in you need to retighten the...
Pros: Comfortable, Easy to Adjust, Easy to Clean, Easy to install, Stylish
Summary: I choose this product because it had good reviews I wish i had known that when you take the car seat out it loosens the base and you have to re tighten it every time. The car seat it's not that cheap so just spend little more and buy a better brand like Peg Perego.
Summary: I was so excited to see this new Keyfit, especially after I'd heard about the new & improved canopy. In my opinion, the only flaw for the regular Keyfit 30 is the tiny, useless canopy. Unfortunately, Chicco couldn't fix one thing without taking away one of their greatest features, the lovely insert. This insert is okay, but nothing like the other one. It doesn't do much to cradle the head and baby seems squished and uncomfortable.
