Excerpt: I love the Chicco carseats. We had one with our daughter, and we just recently purchased another one for our son due in January. I was going to but this seat at our local BRU, and decided against it. The teal is a stunning color and I love it. However, like others have mentioned, the zippers are unneccesary. I feel like I should also give a warning to moms of boys... the zippers are RAINBOW colored. It's hard to tell in the picture online, but in person, they're rainbow.
Excerpt: Aside from the new look, this seat is the same great quality as the other Chicco Keyfit car seats. So for those of you wanting details about the look, here you go...<br />Chicco almost got it right with some nice upgraded neoprene style fabric and a modern color palate. They just messed it up with the unnecessary zippers. I was afraid you could only unzip the boot it and you'd be left with the edge of the zipper that might rub on baby's legs. Not the case.
Summary: The baby is not here yet, so we can only go off of the practice sessions with dolls and stuffed animals. This is also our first carseat so we have nothing to compare it to. The installation was very easy in the car using the Latch system. The harness seems like it will be user friendly and secure when the baby is in the seat.
Excerpt: The sunshade constantly gets stuck in the handle making it hard to use unless you just take it off which is really frustrating! Also, the color is black and taupe, not gray so don't be fooled. I waited for 2 months for this to come back in stock and was highly disappointed. Wanted to love it, but it's going back.
Excerpt: This car seat has been really comfortable for my son until he was 8 months and weight around 22lbs. After that it has been getting a little snug, we will probably have to switch to convertible soon. My only real complaint is that the fabric is not breathable, on a hot day which there are several in Miami, his poor little back is all sweaty. Not cool.
Excerpt: So far so good! Many other parents recommended this brand to us so we invested. The carseat is easy to handle and light. The only thing I noticed was the padding wasn't as thick or cushioned as some of the other seats or older models of the Chicco Key Fit 30. However, that said, I don't think it'll make much of a difference to our bundled little one.
