Excerpt: i loved this keyfit 30 online so i went into the store to take a closer look. i loved the colors and material. i did not like the zippers being rainbow color. it took away from the sleek design in my opinion and is not as gender neutral. i will continue to look for a different style.
Excerpt: My baby was born in early June, and after the first couple of car rides, she began crying loudly during each drive. My husband had to pull the car over because she was screaming so badly, and when I took her out of the carseat, her entire backside was drenched in sweat!! This was after only being in the car for 10 minutes (and she was wearing a tank top onsie)!! The fabric is AWFUL and does not breathe..
Excerpt: My baby was born in September and obviously for a newborn the car seat was perfect. But, during these hot summer days, my baby is absolutely drenched and sweating a lot in this car seat. Even with the air condition on he sweats a lot in his car seat. I took the middle part padding and left the head one in there, yet he still continues to be drenched when I take him out of the seat. I wish they made it breathable material. He gets ansy because he's sweating so much in it.
Excerpt: I am disappointed in this car seat after all the rave reviews. I owned a Graco Snugride 35 for my first child 4 years ago. The Graco was way cheaper and better quality than the Chicco. The fabric is decent...it's what you expect. The padding is itchy looking. I don't think a newborn would like it.

But the only reason why I bought this was because of the shade. I need a seat that would provide good coverage in the desert. The canopy is so flimsy!!!
Pros: Easy to install, Lightweight
Cons: Difficult To Adjust, Poor Construction, Uncomfortable
Excerpt: Yes, this is a safe car seat and rated highly by all the appropriate safety administrators BUT this car seat DOES NOT BREATHE well! My 5 month old is always soaking wet with sweat when I get him out of this seat. We just finished winter and he was sweating in it even though it was cold out. Once he is sitting unassisted, I am moving him into a convertible. I will not allow him to sit in this heat chamber through the summer.
Excerpt: I got the car seat last week and was going to order the matching stroller this week, both items were on my registry. I went to place my order online for the stroller and it wouldn't let me finish the order it just took me back to my cart. I called the hotline and the lady informed me it was no longer available in my area and they couldn't ship it from a store that had it to a store close to me. So I am taking the car seat back due to the fact I can't get the stroller.
Excerpt: I think this is a safe car seat but the straps are a PAIN to adjust. Everytime I pull the strap to tighten everything, one side is ALWAYS too loose. I have to mess with it for quite a while to get everything pulled tight evenly. Not a god situation when the baby is crying and I'm in a hurry. I've tried everything to fix it but to no avail. I think the product needs a re-design. If car seats were less expensive I'd toss this one and buy a new one.
Excerpt: We ordered it from Babies R Us and had it delivered to our home.
The fabric where the baby's head and neck rest is netting/mesh. It arrived with a significant tear in this mesh netting.
The texture of the mesh netting felt too rough and not soft and smooth enough for a baby's head.
We promptly returned the Rattania and will try another model.
Summary: I am disappointed with this car seat. It came recommended by a friend, but I found it way too heavy to carry around, and with a newborn, they sleep a lot and you often need to carry it. Also, the safety clips are too tight on her legs, even when she was tiny.
Pros: Can be rocked, Easy To Install, Looks good, Solid
Cons: bulky, Heavy, Inconvenient to transport, NOT COMFORTABLE FOR BABY, Overpriced
