  • Summary: We knew we wanted a Britax car seat for our son, but we weren't comfortable paying $300+ for their higher end models. After researching the Roundabout G4 we felt confident it would be a good choice for us. I love the seat and so does my son. Having the ability to use it forward and rear facing makes it incredibly versatile. The fabric and padding are nice quality and installing the seat was easy. We use the latch system.

  • Summary: It was relatively easy to install in the car. Only problem was that I could not get the blue clips that were supposed to clip over the seatbelt to snap shut. It seems like it will be fairly easy to get the baby in and out of. In general, as a grandparent, carseats are a pain but I know they are necessary to keep our children safe.

  • Summary: If only we all had the chance to ride in such comfort and safety! I have this carseat for two main reasons: 1) I read great reviews from other parents; and 2) It is one of the few carseats we found that accommodate babies heavier than 22 lbs. in the rear-facing position. The recommended procedure is to have the seat rear-facing until the baby is at least one year old AND 20 lbs. Most (all but 3 I found) carseats only hold up to 22 lbs.
  • Pros: It's one of the few seats that hold up to 30 lbs. (not just 20 or 22) in the rear-facing position:)
  • Cons: Nothing...

  • Summary: We were willing to spend a little extra to provide ourselves with the peace of mind that comes with knowing our baby is as well-protected as possible in the car. We have not had a single problem with the construction of this product, nor with its use over the past 2 years. Now that our son is outgrowing it, we plan on buying the next level seat from this same company since we trust their products so much.
  • Pros: weight and awkwardness when carrying

Britax Roundabout Car Seats Review

Consumer Democracy
29 May 2008
  • Summary: I bought this convertible car seat for my daughter and found it to be wonderful both rear-facing and front-facing. The 5 point harness system gives me confidence in the safety as well as it is very cushioned for comfort. It is easy to install and you can add additional tethers to make it even more secure. I like this product so much I bought another for my son.
  • Pros: It was a bit more expensive
  • Cons: It was a bit more expensive

  • Summary: This is expensive but we drive with our child about 600 miles a month and he is very comfortable in this chair. This chair is very user friendly. If you have tether hooks in your car, you can install this carseat in about 5 minutes or less (with a few practice rounds under your belt). This makes it a good choice if you have to switch the seat between cars. The tether makes this seat so secure that it does not budge!!!!
  • Pros: Easy to install. Easy to install your kid. Padding is very soft and comfortable.
  • Cons: Expensive.

  • Summary: This is the best car seat money can buy! A bit expensive but worth it. It fits very tightly and securely in any vehicle, and has just the right amount of height for my baby now turned toddler to view the action while mommy is driving. Almost like a virtual ride for them so they don't get bored. It is still his all time favorite car seat, he never wants to get out of it! Unheard of for a toddler! Try it! You will not regret it!
  • Pros: could use a recliner feature

Britax Roundabout Car Seats Review

Consumer Democracy
19 May 2008
  • Summary: Even though this car seat was so expensive, I would not hesitate to buy it again. I have another car seat (Century I think) that is so difficult to adjust. It's thin straps are constantly twisting. I hate it! The Britax is much better! I feel like my child is safe and comfortable.
  • Pros: Very easy to use, comfortable...thick straps never get twisted...looks nice...stays tight in car
  • Cons: A little hard to change from reclining to upright position.

  • Summary: This is an awesome carseat. I felt a little silly spending so much on the seat, but for comfort and safety, it was worth every penny. My daughter loves her carseat and the customer service I received was great when I ordered a replacement seat cover. Best seat around.
  • Pros: Very easy to install and very comfortable for baby.
  • Cons: Price
