Summary: We love this car seat. When my son was 3 months we purchased it, his infant carrier was too big for the back seat of Suzuki Aerio (not the hatch back). We took a display model for a test drive and fell in love with it right away. The compact size of this seat and its amazing safety ratings sealed the deal. About a year later my spouse was assigned overseas. My son and I were unable to travel at the same time as him.
Summary: We have previous purchased the Britax Boulevard and loved them, but they were to large for airplane travel. We purchased this one for our 21 lb 18 month old daughter and love it! It was easy to put in and out of the airplane seat and the rental car! We will travel with it again!!
Summary: Doesn't matter if I like it...I'm not the one who'll be sitting in it. But my 9 month old son LOVES this seat. Before it was infant seat which he hated. Diplomat, I don't get any complaints from him since we purchased it when he was 3 month old. and Amazon had some freak sale where i bought the Diplomat for $169 so no complaints from me either.
Summary: If you are looking for an easy installing, comfortable, and most importantly super safe convertible car seat for your toddler look now further. If you can afford it BUY it. I would buy another one in a heartbeat. My 18 month old is so comfy in it. I love the easy height and seatbelt adjusting. I switch it from car to car all the time and it so easy to install. I always had problem with my infant carrier base. This carseat is worth every dollar.
Summary: We love the Britax Diplomat. We knew we wanted to buy a Britax but weren't sure which one. After researching all the Britax car seats over and over we decided on the Diplomat. It fits perfect in our Acura MDX and still allows room for my 6 year old and 8 year old. I love it so much I wondered if the marathon would work as well. I went down to a baby store and tested it out and found it was much to big, I could barely get it in my MDX.
Summary: I bought this seat for my son when he outgrew his infant seat. While it is everything you'd expect from Britax in terms of quality and comfort, it is very short. My son is a tall 18 month old (90th percentile) and his head was already above the top of the seat with the headrest on the tallest adjustment. I was hoping to use this seat for at least another year or so, but no luck.
Summary: Know that if you order the Huntington color from BabyHugs, you will get a seat that is old. Mine has a date of September 2007 (over 2 years ago). I had an email conversation with babyhugs, they claim a seat is good for 6 years from the date of install. I called Britax, they state a seat is good 6 years from the date of manufacture. Babyhugs has a no return policy on car seats.
Summary: I ordered this carseat because everything I've read says that Britax is the best and because it was on sale. There are a few things that I don't like about this seat. The biggest issue is that the belts/straps twist constantly. This causes problems when you try to adjust the tightness of the belts.
Summary: NO complaints, this carseat is great! My son's head never slumps anymore, unlike in his infant Graco carseat. I love that the headrest is adjustable to their height and the comfy waist insert can be removed when he's larger.
