Summary: I purchased the Yamaha RSX-70BU for $99 on sale on Amazon. I have had a few Yamaha products in my life but I wanted something in my bedroom to listen to music and have an alarm clock and radio as well. I was also considering something from iHome but I am very glad I purchased the Yamaha. It is pretty small, the sound that comes out of it is even better then Bose.
It Might Not Be Cheap, But This Thing Is Definitely Cool

Summary: Review - Yamaha TSX-70BG Hey, I'm not ashamed to admit that all my life I've had the same price-point for alarm clocks as I've had for sunglasses - cheap... cool, but CHEAP. So buying this Yamaha TSX-70 (Beige - $169.95) as a dedicated alarm clock was quite a leap of faith. And I only made that leap because it was sold by Amazon and they have such a great return policy. Well, I am definitely NOT returning it. It might not be cheap, but this thing is definitely cool.
Summary: Very cool this clock radio. I needed something small to stay in my corner table, has clock, sound, charge my iphone. The only defect is that it is not ready for the iPhone 5 and I have to use an adapter. I hope that is set as soon as possible. Excellent product.
Summary: yamaha is the go to brand for me! quality sound, quality product for reasonable price. very good sound from a compact unit. controls are easy to use , well labled, and the unit can fit most anywhere. ipod dock is easy to use and sounds superb, along with the alarm feature letting you use your ipod as the alarm sound.
Summary: The radio performs well. What I like about it are that the controls are easy to find and are easy to use. The volume control dial especially and all of the dials are notched so that you can move them incrementally. The alarm is very easy to set too and the sleep control is a large button on top. If feels well built.
Summary: For such a small size, this one hits the spot. Sounds better than the Bose and seems to have less interference from bluetooth devices. The sound is a high sharp quality, does not quite fill the room, but really do not expect it to. Has a nice build quality, the little guy is substantial in feel. I do take it with me back and forth to where I stay when I am working and my primary home, just need to find a nice bag or cover to carry it in.
Summary: Amazing sound quality. Traditional Yamaha quality! The only bummer is it only has one alarm mode and it does not automatically repeat. Other alarms have multiple alarm presets (weekend, weekday) but this one does not. Once again, the sound quality is amazing for the size. Tons of full bass out of an amazing little unit.
Summary: I received this unit yesterday and have been exploring what it can do. I intend to use it on a screen porch for the summer and then into a spare bedroom, so not too concerned with its alarm clock features. It was ordered to replace a Cambridge Sound Model 88CD which gave up the ghost after a decade or so. My classic iPod fits the dock in it's hard case and sounds good.
Summary: The sound quality is really excellent! It works well with my iPod classic and the lastest Nano. The display dims automatically when the lights are turned off. Unlike some other clock radios, the display is dim enough so that it does not light up the bedroom. Also, this unit is small enough to easily fit on a bedside table alongside a lamp. Most other comparable stereos are a lot bigger. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but every time I listen to it I am happy I bought it.
