Review: Yamaha TSX-130

reviewexplorer.com
10 November 2010
  • Conclusion: The Yamaha TSX-130 is expensive, but if you can afford the £300-odd for one, it will be an excellent investment. I wouldn’t place it solely in the bedroom either – this stereo would happily grace the living rooms/entertainment rooms of most households. The sound quality is far better than the majority of similar devices and when you consider the adaptability of the player and the different formats it can use to provide you with sounds, you have a music system that will...

  • Summary: Overweight, over-powered and over-priced for most bedrooms, the TSX-130 might have the brawn (and the beauty) to muscle its way into your living room instead.

  • Summary: It might weigh a ton but this clock radio is ace: just make sure you stick it on your lounge
  • Pros: Great sound, more features than any clock radio we've ever played with
  • Cons: Bulky, too big for a bedside table

Yamaha TSX-130

What Hi-Fi?
18 August 2009
  • Excerpt: If you want a bedside system to lull you off or wake you up, a Denon D-M37DAB (or similar) with its separate speakers isn't the most convenient solution. Something like this Yamaha TSX-130, with its long, flat top almost inviting you to leave your glasses/wristwatch/false teeth on it overnight, is much more the thing. And in spec-terms, the TSX-130 includes most of what folk might reasonably demand from what is, fundamentally, a clock/radio with pretensions.
  • Pros: Well specified and designed, surprisingly hefty sound
  • Cons: Overconfident low frequencies can dominate proceedings

Hi-Fi i Muzyka
9 February 2010
  • Summary: Pod względem brzmienia mała Yamaha stanowi poważną alternatywę dla rozmaitych boomboxów, straszących w pokojach nastolatków.
