Summary: I purchased this about two and a half years ago to replace an 80's era boom box that sat by our dining room table for mealtime music. It has a very good sound, and an elegant aesthetic. Its nice that you can control the iPod using the remote.
Summary: For quite a while I had been looking for a stereo for my 12 and 10 year old daughters that would carry them through the teen years. I wanted something compatible with my kids Gen 4 ipod touches and I wanted excellent sound. This stereo is perfect.
Summary: All we needed was a mini shelf stereo. I looked at everything out there and the Yamaha MCR-140 was the best designed both in form and function. And one of the most expensive in this class. We purchased this unit in August of 2012. It just goes downhill from there.
Summary: It's been a couple of months since I bought this component system to listen to music at home. I couldn't be happier I did. Pros: -beautiful aesthetics. -very vivid sounds, now I can hear sounds that I didn't even know where there to begin with.
Summary: This is a great system for what I was needing. The sound is fantastic, loved the red color and fits perfectly where I wanted it. We often have a hard time with reception where we live but this radio picked up the stations and was crystal clear.

Summary: I just cannot help myself-poor impulse control is what I have when it comes to audio systems. I really like Yamaha products & then I saw this little gem in orange & I had to have this unit. It arrived today & I have been listening since. What have I found? 1.
Summary: First let me say that for the three months that this unit was functioning we were very happy with it. I echo the positive reviews about the sound, functionality and the look of the system. However, we are now having the power problems described by other reviewers.

Summary: It finally happened: our local favorite classical FM station went to rock&roll format. We had to get a new arrangement for our home office - something that could help us listen to classical music off web radio.
