Summary: This Yamaha stereo deserves 5 stars it sounds awesome, but the seller misrepresented the condition of the unit & printed the wrong address on the package the invoice had the correct address, so UPS could not deliver it I had to go out of my way to pick it up in 5° weather with heavy traffic at 8pm...
Summary: I purchased this to listen to mp3s and it does play them, but the controls work when they want to. For the money, you'd think you'd get a better quality radio. And for low to medium volume, the sound quality is decent at best, but for louder volumes the quality drops tremendously.
Nice Industrial Design, Leaves a Few Things to be Desired
2 June 2013
Summary: This unit looks good on our bookshelf w/ our books, pictures, etc. and it can play loudly clearly for its size. It's also nice that a variety of colors were offered. I think it's a good case-study of industrial design b/c it has incredible functionality, a simple beauty, but a curious, glaring...
Summary: Like everyone else, I wanted a combination CD, radio, iPod dock, and clock for the bedroom. I also wanted it to fit in a small footprint and to be somewhat stylish. I got the latter two, but sacrificed everything else.
Summary: The good, has nice rich sound. Nice form factor, but am confused as to whether to place the speakers apart separately or keep together as shown. The bad, the speakers keep buzzing when my iPhone is in it and streaming from iTunes.

Summary: I keep all my music on a small portable USB drive, probably about 300 GB. This little drive works great in my honda with its USB input- the factory stereo has a jog dial that allows you to spin through the albums (folders) 1 by 1.
Summary: I spent a lot of time reviewing both speaker systems and stereos, including Bose,Klipch, and others before settling on this Yamaha unit, and I must say, it didn't quite meet my expectations. The 1st time I let my wife hear it, she said it needed more bass, and she is right. And that is my biggest...
Summary: We bought this unit to replace the Onkyo micro unit that sat in our kitchen, but which gave up the ghost earlier this year. It's slightly larger than the Onkyo, which meant I had to do a little additional surgery to the built-in bookcase that it sits in, but no matter.
