Summary: Totally love it...worked great with iphone 4. Sometimes I get the error "this accessory is not supported". Trick is to put the iphone in the charger and turn on the power button of yamaha at the same time. Do it couple of times and it will recognize the device and plays music. Look of this device is just awesome.
Summary: Great stereo for use with an Ipod classic or older versions of Ipods. My wife's old as dirt white brick of an Ipod worked with this unit. Sound is great for such a small system. Only wish it had a subwoofer out. My generation likes a little more low frequency thump but this is a great unit for a smaller room or a kitchen. Someone who likes to listen to crisp clean music at moderate to lower volumes will love this unit.
Summary: Great little unit but was expecting more from it. I use this in my office at work so it is usually turned down very low, mostly background music while in my office. At low volumes you lose the low base, which is not too good at any volume. I have a Boston alarm clock that has a very good quality sound at any level and it is about ⅓ the size. Though I would buy again, I think that there are probably better units out there for the price (Boston alarm clock was $100).
Summary: I have gone through several sound systems for my iPod and have been disappointed by all of them. Until now! I bought the Yamaha MCR-40 (in orange) and I love it! The sound is great and I love that I can adjust the treble and bass -- something that is a lot harder to find that I thought it would be. I was a little surprised with the size of the unit (it's deeper than I thought) but that is my fault for not paying close attention to the specs.
