Not Worth The Time or $$

Music Lover "MCR", Amazon
17 November 2008
  • Summary: Our TEAC CD player stopped working and showed an error message. There was no explanation in the manual, so we contacted TEAC. TEAC said it sounded like the laser was shot so to take our unit to an authorized dealer. I drove to the authorized service center listed on the TEAC website. Gone.

Great deal for the money!

R. Linn, Amazon
13 January 2008
  • Summary: This was a gift for my mother and she was able to set up on her own. The sound from it is wonderful and very clear. There was no humming at all and radio stations came in clear also! Great deal for the money!

Great Looks, Great Sound, Great Price

G. Greene, Amazon
25 October 2007
  • Summary: I was looking for a compact CD player/clock radio for my bedroom that was stylish, had a good sound, and was reasonably priced. This unit exceeded my expectations on all levels. I considered the Bose, but it isn't as attractive, doesn't sound any better, and costs hundreds of dollars more.

Large clock radio

D. A. Lowe "DAL", Amazon
9 January 2007
  • Summary: The sound quality is very good, as well as can be expected for the price. The reception on AM and FM is above average and the CD reproduction is equally as good. My two objections are no AM-FM selection on the very large remote and no time signal when the radio or cd is on.

just okay

Tulips, Amazon
7 September 2006
  • Summary: Good radio and CD player. But it doesn't play most MP3 cds that my other system plays. It was also gigantic so try to get an accurate measurement before you buy this. Not a typical bedside radio. The system sounds great though. I think it's not worth the tag price.

Good table radio

I. Pribadi, Amazon
26 July 2006
  • Summary: I read a trusted review website that has the Teac SR-L50 as the best sounding table radio for its price (<$150). I suppose the review may be accurate, but it's just that for the same price you could buy a micro stereo system that sounds 2x better, louder and have more features/functions.

What Hum???

Linda "Audiophile", Amazon
25 March 2006
  • Summary: Just purchased this beautiful unit today, and have been listening to every type of music conceivable (no, not hip-hop or rap, I said music!) since I got it home. First, I brought out the Goodman 1938 concert in Carnegie Hall -- Goodman, Harry James, Lionel Hampton, Gene Krupa sound AMAZING, as does...
