Summary: Out of the box, the remote is working sometimes and sometimes not. For me, that's not a good sign for the longevity of the product. I also don't like the volume going up high every time I turn it on. It does have good radio receptivity that I'm very pleased with. The sound is also adequate for my needs. If it just continues to work, I'm happy with it. I've had for a week.
Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT!! I had it in my office for a month and it has died!! It will no longer read CDs and the warranty is a joke!! Basically you need to send the unit to SuperSonic at your own cost and include a money order of $20 for them to ship it back to you. That will cost at least $40, about the price of a new unit. I normally do not buy off-brand electronics, but I figured I'd give it a try. Never again!!
Summary: Got this as a Christmas gift. Mainly wanted it to listed to "books on tape" (really on CDs) and some music on CDs. For a couple months it seemed to work fine, good sound, etc. But now will only play about a half minute of the first song on the CD and then stops - will turn round if set to start on a different track but will not play. It is not the CDs as we've tried various types including some brand-new CDs (in fact, it stopped working while using a brand new one.
Summary: The main unit itself is "iffy" at best. Sometimes it will not find the cd or lose it midway through playing. Turn it off and back on and it finds the disc. Annoying. THE SOUND though... It's horrible. The speakers are glorified headphones. They sound so bad it's unreal. Luckily I had an old pair of computer speakers, which I plugged into the headphone jack of the unit. That got the sound a lot better. But it's still really bad.
Summary: Went through two of them. After a few weeks CD started skipping, uncontrollably, for no reason. Sound quality also is quite poor but that doesn't really matter if you can't play music yo begin with. Do yourself a favor. Spend an extra 30 bucks and buy a nicer one. I ended up getting an RCA for about $80.
