Summary: I was a little bit skeptical about the Sony Giga Juke, i braved it and got one from Amazon and it's been amazing what it does. I think it's a music storage database and a server combined. Playing some latin jazz i could pick out all the tiny little notes, the clarity of the sound is great. It's a fantastic hifi for any music lover, loads of functions that am yet to explore, it makes your music accessible and you have a number of options to suit you.
Summary: Yes its a great bit of kit takes looooads of cds took quite some time to put our collection in. Connected to the internet easy wireless but found it better wired if no title is found it soon was using net The reason marked down was the use of the key pad (remote control) for editing a bit long and sometimes tedious.
Summary: Sony NAS-SC55 Giga Juke all-in-one 'Multi-Room Package Excellent. My only criticism is that the multiroom does not allow you to play CDs or the DAB radio direct to the receiver unit. It only seems to receive internet radio. The record time for each cd is speedy and I have already recorded nearly 2000 songs and still have over 1500 hours of recording left.
Summary: Essentially the Giga duke does what it says well and certainly produces a sound which for a normal household is very good. On the down side it is not easy to set up and link with a wireless PC but once done is great. Disappointingly the remote unit does not have radio access other than through infuriating internet providers and the unit would benefit from bluetooth for headphones.
Summary: I purchased the Sony NAS-S55HDE Giga Juke from Amazon, an excellent service as always, because I wanted to gather all my MP3s on to one system. I proceeded to transfer all my Cd ripped MP3s to the systems Hard Drive. This to fill around 50GB (yes I have a lot of CDs) took nearly 2 Weeks! If you have a small difference in the MP3 tags (ie: Upper or Lower case fonts) for the same album it will put them into seperate folders.
