Excerpt: I love listening to music. Wherever I am, be it in the office, gym, or simply relaxing at home, I always make it a point to put on a CD or simply listen to the radio. Sometimes I use my ipod nano, other times I use my mp3 player.
Sony Mini-Hifi CD Player does not work no disc issue

Summary: I have had this product just about 1 year , liked its features CD/MP3 etc and thought it was good value from a name brand. But I have to say with less than 20 hours of using it over the 1 year the 3-CD player does not work - Sony wants me to spend $$$ to get it fixed - its like new , hardly used - they dont stand by their brand - I have had many Sony products and I must say quality is coming down - i am facing many issues with other Sony prodcts too.
Summary: I wanted to replace my old small stereo system that I use for background music in the kitchen with a unit that can play FM stations and MP3s as well as CDs. We were not interested in playing cassettes. We listen primarily to classical with occasional easy listening instrumental, country, or folk music.
Summary: I picked this stereo system to replace a dinasaur cassette boombox. The receiver is larger than I expected, but we found a great spot for it. I like the digital tuner, and it will be nice to be able to turn the volume down with the remote. We get good reception, even out in the boonies. AM has some static, but I think that's just AM radio. I chose this system on the reviews and size. Very happy with the purchase price as well. Bought on Amazon for $99.
Summary: I bought this system to replace an older Sony system I had. I really preferred the design of the older system. This sits by my bed and I use it only to play audiobooks and I prefer to operate it manually. Too many functions require the remote and I didn't care for that. Also the clock does not show continually like my old unit did and I prefer a top opening CD player. I don't like drawer openers as I feel they go bad under heavy use. I don't need a changer.
Summary: I purchased this stereo for my father who loves music but is not tech savvy. It will take a week or so to get him familiar with the remote (which could be more intuitive) but he is delighted with the sound. The speaker wires are too short to place the speakers very far apart, and the wires are attached to the speakers internally so that replacement would be difficult, but this is a shelf stereo and it will easily fill a room with rich sound.
Summary: This was purchased as a gift for my in-laws. They needed a replacement stereo for their condo in downtown Chicago after a neighbor had a fire which damaged much of my in-law's condo. They wanted a small stereo with multiple CD capability. This unit fits the bill. It has fantastic sound for such a small stereo and fills their condo completely without having to turn up the volume. So far they are extremely happy with this unit. Of course being a Sony helps.
Summary: Vey good sound quality for the price..easy to set up. Remote is optional and components are user-friendly. The only thing I am puzzled with right now, (and I admit, I have not looked at the manual about this), is that if you put 3 cd's in and hit play beginning with cd1, you have to manually go back to unit and start cd2 and cd3 in order for them to play. All 3 do not play one right after the other. Overall, however, would definitely recommend.
