Summary: I wanted to replace my old small stereo system that I use for background music in the kitchen with a unit that can play FM stations and MP3s as well as CDs. We were not interested in playing cassettes.
Summary: I picked this stereo system to replace a dinasaur cassette boombox. The receiver is larger than I expected, but we found a great spot for it. I like the digital tuner, and it will be nice to be able to turn the volume down with the remote. We get good reception, even out in the boonies.
Summary: I bought this system to replace an older Sony system I had. I really preferred the design of the older system. This sits by my bed and I use it only to play audiobooks and I prefer to operate it manually. Too many functions require the remote and I didn't care for that.
