Summary: I bought this so that I may listen to one of the many books on CD from the library while I work in my pottery/and painting studios. The CD playerand IPOD work great. Sound not the quality that I am used to but for books, works great.
Summary: I looked up the model to check before I ordered it and had found that it was but when it arrived, the iPod dock connector was about 1/2 inch long and my new 5th gen touch has a MUCH smaller connector on it (and yes, I looked over the entire iPod to make sure I wasn't missing something).
Summary: Bought one a few weeks ago in spite of some reviews that were less than I expect from Sony. I am glad I did...Sony quality comes through again in a unit that costs less than $100. First one went in the motorhome and it took one trip to decide that I wanted one in my basement rec room.
Summary: ...as long as you manage your expectations in a couple of areas, the Sony CMT-LX20i will provide decent sound in a small room environments. I purchased this to replace an 18-year old shelf system that was showing its age (still had a cassette player, and no direct input capability for an iPod).
Summary: This is a good radio for the price. It has great features. I use mine to play music in the back yard for parties. I can play music from my ipod or hook up my computer and play music from online radio. The sound quality is good and distortion is only at the highest volume setting.
Summary: Three and a half stars. The sound is as good as one could expect for its size and price. Easy to use right out of the box and it looks pretty sharp. Yes the sound is not perfectly crisp but I'll sacrifice that somewhat for the small footprint. I did have trouble with the a.m.
