Lame sound for the size

AlanO, Amazon
7 January 2014
  • Summary: Really disappointed in this unit. For the money, the sound is absolutely tin sounding. There is no base and what base you get sounds like its ready to blow the speakers. It's built well, it looks nice, and the controls are simple - and it has bluetooth sync - but the sound man.. its horrid. Sorry Sony - it's getting returned.

Great Sound for Compact unit

L. A. OBrien "keyboardist", Amazon
21 November 2013
  • Summary: This is a very nice little sound system, I place this unit in my office at work (I do have my own office). Easy to set up, very big sound for a little unit, Tuner and CD is what I use the most and good reception/sound. Recommended.

So great and so little

Eduardo Campos Herrera, Amazon
11 November 2013
  • Summary: PRO: A very good set of features and so easy to use. Elegant and sober. I am impressed by the Bluetooth. I've connected 5 devices so far (BTW it's easy to configure) , and sometimes I walk in the apt with my iphone and no loss at all. CONS: Remote is kinda big. It sounds very good, but it lacks power. Buttons are too small and made of cheap plastic. The little screen should be bigger and more detailed. WISH LIST: It should support wifi and have an app to control it.

Great set of features? Yes; good sound? No

fastest drummer, Amazon
6 September 2013
  • Summary: This unit is loaded with tons of handy features and has a pretty cool modern design... But, the speaker produces below average sound.... So, the bottom line is if you just need something good looking and handy that can do almost anything (but produce a good sound), buy that unit. The reason I bought this in the first place was that I was really impressed with another Sony unit RDP-XF300IPN (ipad docking station).

Great Set of Features

Jonathan D, Amazon
19 August 2013
  • Summary: I had been looking around for a few months for a good sounding Bluetooth or Airplay speaker that also had an AM/FM radio built in. It was a simple requirement, but one that I found hard to meet. Some models had just an FM radio, while others only had one mono speaker. I was about to buy one of Sony's plain Bluetooth speakers and plug a portable radio into the aux input, but did some more looking and found this.

Brilliant Sound

Jennifer, Woolworths
13 June 2014
  • Summary: What a fantastic product - the sound is superb, wherever you are in the room. The Bluetooth facility has proved very popular with the kids who hate our music collection. I would recommend this very highly.
  • Pros: sleek design, could do with a slightly higher volume output
