Review: Slim Devices Squeezebox

PaulStamatiou.com
16 June 2007
  • Conclusion: So far I have covered the two things that comprise the Squeezebox experience - the SlimServer and SqueezeNetwork networks. One is dedicated to facilitating the access of your personal music collection through your audio system while the latter focuses on Music on Demand services to bring you any type of music you might fancy at that moment.

Slim Devices Squeezebox Digital Music Player

GoodSound!
1 September 2006
  • Summary: One important thing that I did not address in this review is the need for storage space to keep your digital files. Hard drives are relatively inexpensive and there are many ways to transfer your CDs to your computer. Whatever method you decide upon, you should be sure to make at least one backup copy of your library. You can rip a CD in a matter of minutes, but when you start to have hundreds of albums on a hard drive it translates into several hours of your time.

Slim Devices Squeezebox

PC Magazine
10 May 2006
  • Excerpt: The Slim Devices Squeezebox plays only MP3 audio (and a bunch of lesser formats) but does so with exceptional competence and flexibility. It's best suited for a high-end AV installation where the words "Windows Media" are never uttered. It's less suited to mainstream users concerned with bang for the buck or transferring multimedia content such as JPEG photos.

Slim devices squeezebox review

expertreviews.co.uk
19 March 2004
  • Excerpt: Squeezebox is a wireless version of Slim Devices' SliMP3, an MP3 server that garnered five mice when we reviewed it last year. Wireless capability isn't the only improvement, though. Squeezebox works by connecting to an Ethernet or wireless 802.11 network where a store of MP3 audio files is maintained on a similarly connected Mac.

Musik aus dem Netz: Slim Devices Squeezebox 3

CNET
23 April 2007
