The CD-MPX850 mini component system from Sharp features a 5-disc capacity CD changer, two cassette decks and an AM/FM radio tuner. The mini system is composed of three components: the main unit and two 3-way speakers. The CD-MPX850’s main unit measures approximately 10.2 x 13 x 12.7 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 16.5 pounds while each of the speakers come in at 7.9 x 13 x 9.1 inches and weigh 7.3 pounds. A full-featured remote control is included in the package.

The Sharp CD-MPX850’s tray-loading CD changer can hold up to 5 CDs at once and also allows the user to change CDs while playing another. The player can read standard audio CDs, CD-R/RW discs as well as MP3 and WMA CDs. The CD player includes support for ID3 tags and has several playback modes: programmable play of up to 32 tracks, repeat all tracks and random play.

The system’s dual cassette deck features a Full-logic control type. The digital AM/FM tuner gives the user up to 40 station presets and features auto tuning.

The player has a built-in equalizer with 12 factory-preset modes. For even more powerful bass, the Sharp CD-MPX850 also features X-Bass (Extra Bass) technology.

The CD-MPX850 boasts of a total power output of 230 watts RMS (115 watts minimum per channel). Each speaker utilizes a 6.3 inch woofer, a 2 inch tweeter driver and a 1 inch super tweeter driver.
