Excerpt: This unit was bought to replace one we had for 12 years. The writeup on this looked good and there seemed to be more good then bad said about it, so I bought it. The unit arrived and the box was larger than expected but it was packed well and safe. The hookup of speakers and things was real easy, a child could do it I bet. The unit looks good and has plenty of functions and most everything does work, BUT, here's my opinion when I hit the power button....
the CD playing portion worked great and the sound is very clear and sharp

Summary: I haven't had the chance to explore all capabilities of this stereo as of yet. However, the CD playing portion worked great and the sound is very clear and sharp. The unit is a larger than what I needed; but, it does work great.
Excerpt: I bought this system for my music classroom last summer, so I have had an entire school year to use it. It sits on a cart. The sound is excellent! It holds 5 CDs, which is also a plus for my teaching. I like the versatility of having CD, cassette, USB, iPod, and radio in one system. However, the down side is that when changing from one CD song to another song or another CD or other source, the delay is too long. My students understood this, but they often got impatient.
Summary: This unit exceeded our expectations. Great Sound, love the rotating 5 cd racks, remote works great, great looks. Very Very satisfied... We did a lot of research before we bought and it really paid off. Highly recommend this unit.
Summary: Not sending it back but wouldn"t buy another one. Not NEWEGG's problem, all manufactures problem.
Pros: Unit sounds great, CD Changer works every time, Able to eject a disk without having to eject all disk. Easily connects to ipod and iphone.
Cons: CD changer cycles every time unit is turned on even though FM, AM, iPod etc is selected. No apparent reason for it to cycle. Unit turns itself off if FM signal becomes a little weak. No apparent reason for this feature. I'm use to FM 24/7 and that requires a very strong outdoor ant. Don't see a need to buy another Ant when my $15 Fm radio plays 24/7 without turning itself off.
Summary: This is an ok system for the money, I replaced this after a Sony system I had for 10 yrs finally quit. The sound is what makes this an ok system, my old Sony would blow this thing out of the water, however, this system does have some nice features and my old SOny speakers do work with it. I bought this system to have a cassette player as I have some of there to play.
Summary: ..be aware of some limitations. I had wanted an all-in-one shelf unit that included a turntable. I had spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews of those well-known brands. For the most part, reviews were terrible! When I started reading about this Sharp unit, it had 3 (tuner, Cd, cassette) of the 4 features (not turntable) I wanted and the reviews were better than most other shelf models. The 5-disc CD and the cassette gave it an advantage over the others.
