Summary: What happened to the days of inexpensive boom boxes? They are still around but they are mostly junk. This one is a bit outdated because it still has a cassette player but it also has an iPod link up. My wife loves music. I'm a musician and she loves it more than I do. So when I saw this box for only $200, I jumped. Relative type players with this wattage were roughly twice the price. Hooking it up was easy. Has clear sound in the upper register.
Summary: This is for my husband, in a Nursing Home. It plays continuously. All the extras, I did not need, only needed a five CD player with continuous playing. It was hard to find what I actually wanted in the directions. That is because of all the "bells and whistles". The sound is very good. The man that helped me over the telephone, was VERY good and did help a lot on the ordering. Did not think it overpriced.
Summary: Great stereo that covers many media (CD, Tape, USB, Ipod, and radio). I think it has quite decent sound. It ended up being a bit larger than I was expecting though. I was looking for a stereo that could play our older tapes, our CD's, as well as a USB drive, and this was one of the few that could do all three. As an added bonus, it can hold up to 5 CD's at a time. The few "gripes" I have about it are: 1.
Summary: Plug it in. It works. Or at least it turns on. If you need something to play cassettes, then go for this. But if you have any desire to listen to the radio, steer clear. The FM antenna connection is a complete joke - a thin connection that didn't last three months. Not that the FM receiver received anything in the three months anyway.
Summary: I was a bit leery when I first bought this Mini Stereo System because of the mixed reviews I read on here, but that soon disappeared after listening to this great stereo a few times! The 5 CD changer is fantastic, it may not be as easy as a carousel type changer where you can change out the 4 discs while the 5th is still playing, but it isn't as wide as a carousel changer either!
Summary: Remote rarely functions as advertised. Also advertised as stereo, when sound is actually hi-fi, though clear. Disappointed tape function will not play both sides without manually reversing tape.
Summary: This unit looks good and he speakers had excellent quality for size and price. Unfortunately, it would shut off about every 15 minutes as if it had lost power. Customer service troubleshooting as well as following suggested remedies in he accompanying 'manual' did not help. Changing locations in house, checking signal strength for radio, etc didn't improve anything.
