Summary: I got this unit to play music in my very small, retail shop (we used to just use a boom-box). Right off the bat, this unit had problems. First, while testing it, and its functions, the cd tray wouldn't eject. It would click, like it was trying to come out, then just stall. This happened over and over. Finally, I just pulled the tray out, heard another click (probably something breaking), and its worked fine since then.
Summary: The product is fine. A nice little cd-MP3- receiver that sounds pretty good. I generally like Pioneer products. Worked for 10 months, then disc drive stopped turning. Well that can happen. 1 year Parts and Labor warranty should take care of that. Now starts the fun part. Call Pioneer customer support, wait 20 min. A nice lady tells me since it wasn't shipped directly from Amazon, they don't support it, call the distributor that supplied it for Amazon. So I do.
Summary: I haven't owned this very long, but so far it plays cds very well. Puts out a decent sound for such a small bookshelf sysytem. Love the USB port that lets you play mp3s from a memory stick. I'd recommend it.
Summary: I was expecting to be able to plug in my ipad into the USB port. It didn't work. All I had to do was to buy an inexpensive auxiliary cable, plug it into the earphone jack on the iPad and the auxiliary port on the stereo. I can listen to my ipad through the stereo and charge the ipad at the same time. The stereo sound great.
Summary: If the remote control worked I would give this five stars. The sound is great and takes up very little space but the remote doesn't work and for that reason I am extremely disappointed. And yes I checked the battery and that's not the problem.
