Summary: I've had this for several years and am surprised by the sound quality considering the very low cost of this product. It's a really nice looking little unit and very portable as well as being wall mounted. Very smart, I'd like to get another for my chill out room so I don't need to move it around the house with me (but that's just modern day laziness!). Definitely worth the money and would happily purchase again.
Summary: This product is very pretty. Its sleek and looks very modern. That been said, it is not worth the money however cheap it may be. It worked for 1 MONTH then the cd part just spins with no music. If you unplug it without powering down first, there is no music. The radio part works fine but its not worth the price better to put another $50 and but something else. DO NOT BUY.
Summary: I should have listened to all the bad reviews here on Amazon. About three weeks after I bought it an intermittent loud buzzing/static sound started when I played CDs. Luckily it was about 5 days before the 30-day return window would have expired and I was able to get my money back. Do not be fooled by the sleek design in the photo. Putting the CDs in and out is awkward.
Summary: I put this on my wedding registry and was very happy to find it as a gift. We used it a couple times the first year then went to use the CD player and it grinds and says "no disc". I contacted Phillips via web chat and Donna (the contact) mistyped words and used a foreign variation of terms (centre for center). It was obvious that she is overseas and could NOT help me find a service center since Philips does NOT have any authorized service centers.
Summary: I got this stereo because my sister got me a 50 dollar gift card. I like it! I just have a few cons. 1. I can't play my iPod on it. 2. Tuning on your remote doesn't always respond 3. The FM wire is long, and ALWAYS moving. 4. Hard to connect the speaker input and the FM, AM input wires. 5. The wall mount doesn't stick to wood. I really like the motorized CD disc door. I also enjoy the room-filling speakers(they sound like Boze!
Summary: this stereo is very sleek and stylish. its a great unit, depending the use. it doesn't have a lot of boom. if you listen to rap, this probably wouldn't be the stereo for you. but if your just looking for something small to have in your kitchen or office, its great. overall its a good stereo, just depends your purpose of use. i just wish the speakers had a little more boom to them. also, i purchased this through amazon of course and i was VERY impressed with the shipping.
Summary: The Philips MC235B is a good product for the money. It has adequate sound, much better than the comparable Sony it replaced. Fits upright to minimize surface space. Headphone jack on top is good placement. (Sony had it in the rear and caused major struggles to find it.) No skips on CD. Volume is good with minimal, if any, distortion. I think they hit the low-end market with a good, functional item. You will not go wrong with this.
Summary: This Philips Stereo system is great! The sound quality is there in this small profile. I like that it can be wall mounted, but we have ours sitting on the shelf. It looks streamline and very expensive. I love it! I can't say anything negative. It's exactly what I was looking for. You won't be sorry with this Philips stereo!
Summary: We bought a few of these for at our work place, and they work wonderfully. They are used daily in childrens classrooms so they play cd's and the radio throughout the day and we have had no problems. It was easy to hang up, and has great sound. I would definately recommend to everyone.
