CD player stopped working

Ferdinand L., Newegg
1 January 2010
  • Summary: Would not recommend it.
  • Pros: Radio still works.
  • Cons: I bought this for my wife in March 2007. She uses the radio mostly; occasionally she plays a CD or MP3 disc in it. CD player has stopped working. I cannot even try to clean the laser lens because it refuses to recognize any disc I insert. The unit has not been abused or even moved from its origin...

Don't Buy it

Gary S., Newegg
28 December 2009
  • Pros: It powers on and makes sound.
  • Cons: made in 2007. Don't bet on it working with your newer ipod. I have a 4th gen nano, and it plays, but doesn't charge. I'm stuck with a device I can't use, cause newegg won't take it back.

User Review

Jyri L., Newegg
25 December 2009
  • Summary: Sound quality is not really good, but for portable player it is acceptable.
  • Pros: Nice piano finish boombox with simple operation buttons. Has line-in and headphone connectors. CD tray is PC style front load. Comes with many adapters for IPod docking so it should cover all models. LCD display is blueish monocolor display that shows radio channel, CD track and MP3 information. ...
  • Cons: Docking station gives me an error "Charging is not supported with this accessory"WHAT? Cannot charge new iPod nano 8gig? Oh well, nothing is perfect...

Nice little system

Brian M., Newegg
16 February 2009
  • Summary: I'm very happy with the purchase. I am very happy to finally find a nice little shelf system for the bedroom or garage that can handle mp3 disk playback.
  • Pros: Nice Size to fit on a shelf. MP3 CD playback is THE reason to own this box. Its hard to find that capability on your "off the shelf" box you can buy at Walmart. Sound quality seems fine to me... I'm not music expert, but no complaints. The remote control is a nice plus as well.
  • Cons: Doesn't have a tape deck... but does anyone really use those anymore?
