Philips AJL308

The AJL308 from Philips combines the functions of a clock radio and a digital photo frame. The device measures approximately 8.21 x 6.63 x 3.59 inches (W x H x D) and has a 7 inch widescreen display. The device comes in a black and white color scheme; the front of the unit has a glossy black plastic frame around the screen while the back is all white. The TFT LCD screen as a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and a native resolution of 480 x 234 pixels.

Clock radio features

The AJL308 features an FM radio tuner with 20 station presets. The alarm functions include dual alarm time, buzzer alarm and “wake to nature sound”. The AJL308’s alarm starts at a low volume level and will gradually increase until the alarm is turned off. At the top of the device is a snooze button. The sleep timer lets the user fall sleep to nature sounds or preloaded relaxation music.

Photo frame features

The Philips AJL308 can playback photos stored in a SD/MMC memory card or a USB thumb-drive. Users can choose to have the photo slideshow fill up the screen or in a small box beside a date and time display. The AJL308 also offers 16 slideshow transition effects.

Additional features

In addition to the digital clock and photo frame functions, the AJL308 can also play back MP3 and WMA music files as well as MPEG4 and DivX video files saved on a USB thumb-drive or SD/MMC flash memory cards.
