Summary: I looked around various sites and shops to replace my DAB Hi-Fi system that developed problems. Eventually ordered this Panasonic Micro System. In a word 'Excellent'. The DAB radio tuned in within 30 seconds. The CD is really good sound quality. No regrets and a very competitive price. Highly Recommended!
Summary: Intended more to be used as a souped up portable radio I was looking for OK but got amazing. Good sound, low distortion, good DAB reception providing you stretch and tape the aerial as suggested (some other reviews suggested DAB was a bit problematic) FM a bit dodgy as there is no separate FM aerial, probably could sort that out but it's fine on mono. No AM but who cares. Easy to set up, easy on the ear, easy on the eye if slightly techno.
Summary: With DAB and FM radio, a proper tray CD (mp3 compatible) player and the option to plug in a pen drive containing mp3 files this is a great all-rounder. It even has a port on top for those who buy i-toys (but the older connector). The sound output uses pre-defined equaliser settings, it also has a bass boost and wide-angle sound options (a surround sound type effect).
Summary: I was looking for something small that wouldn't take over the room so my expectations were modest. Did my research and the Panasonic fitted the bill so went ahead and got a great deal on Amazon. I ordered it on the Monday and arrived 20hrs later "wow". I unpacked and set up the system, took less than 5 minutes, screwed in the DAB antena, positioned it as instructed and turned the Panasonic on.
Summary: OK so the radio reception is weak, but a cheap indoor aerial sorted that out, apart from that its fantastic. The iPod dock works well and keeps my phone charged up, its easy to use, and especially like the USB port. Unfortunately when you use this it doesn't tell you the name of the album, artist etc. But for a tenner I got a 32Mb USB drive to put all my music on. Looks good too.
Summary: Worked a treat straight out of the box apart from the DAB radio saying no signal, read the instructions and there is UK DAB and Europe, switched to UK and picked up loads of channels. IPod charges and plays as well. Excellent.
