Airplay was dead on arrival, then died again in ten months after replacement
4 weeks ago
Summary: I purchased a Panasonic SC-HC57 unit less than a year ago. I am anything but technologically challenged, so after trying to setup Airplay on it using a variety of methods, I concluded that the device was faulty and returned it to Amazon. The replacement unit worked like a charm, Airplay setup was relatively easy using either the WPS or the manual method. Now the bad news.
Summary: It had the look I wanted, but was smaller than I really wanted. The sound is just 'okay' for a large bedroom. I love the fact that it charges my Ipod and instantly plays all the music from it with a touch of one button on the remote. Strangely, when you play music from the Ipod, one of the speakers is blocked by the open middle door that slides open to allow the Ipod tray to slide out. I wish it was a multi-disc player.
Summary: Radio reception is great. I am able to receive several stations with just the wire antenna provided, something I have not been able to do otherwise as I live in a rural setting. The Airplay was simple to set up and works great! The speakers sound great, no tinny sound. No complaints at all!
