Summary: I don't know, I expected more from this device. It does what you stated but it requires some tinkering. I would have appreciated better radio reception and the ability to get more stations. I have hundreds of cds so music availability isn't a problem, but I simply appreciate great radio stations and that was my objective when I purchased this system.
Summary: This thing works well for what it did. However, it sounded better in the store than it did in my house. Also, the price was too much for what you get. Not worth the money when my iPod alarm clock has a better sound for half the cost.
Summary: The iphone connection worked perfectly for the first two weeks I owned it. Since then, after inserting the iphone into the system dock, the phone no longer connects with the devise unless I wiggle the it while it's in the dock. The fidelity is very good and the CD player works well. Normal radio reception.
Summary: I bought this unit as a replacement for a radio and mp3 player in my office which is hard to receive FM broadcast. The radio works good, no better than any other. The I-pod dock works as long as you don't have your iPhone in a case which mine is. The sliding door won't close if the iPhone is in a case, if the door doesn't close the unit doesn't connect to the iPhone.
Summary: Having owned a very similar Panasonic SC-HC40, I recommended my mother look into this line when she was looking for a new book shelf speaker. I was very disappointed to see how many features have been stripped from all of their new models, top to bottom. No more blue tooth, no USB port, no AM tuner and they've never had an analog audio port. How are you supposed to play anything outside of a CD or iPod?
Summary: it's very neat and looks good on the shelf. not hard to set up. switching radio stations would be easier with some pre-set numbered buttons. sound is OK --- but clearly not coming out of substantial speakers.
