Summary: Overall I was happy with the way this unit performed. The only reason I'm writing this is that the unit is a year old and the door won't open and close for the CD. It seems Panasonic doesn't make items to last, no matter what the price.
Summary: Here is my experience with this product... I bought it from Amazon. After receiving it, I read the compatibility listing and bought a used iPod Classic 5th Generation on eBay, as it was to be FULLY compatible. In the meantime the CD player aspect of this product worked great. When I received my iPod, I had an Apple expert reset and update everything to factory settings. When I eventually connected it to the Panasonic, the device stated that it was not compatible!
Summary: As well as listening to digital radio, I still want to play my extensive library of CDs, and this seems to fit the bill. It is a great looking bit of kit, fits wonderfully on a narrow shelf and the sound is pretty good. So when an earlier version died completely after about two years, I was willing to give it another go and bought this model. It packed up completely after about two weeks. As usual, Amazon's returns service was great and I got my money back.
