Panasonic SC-HC30DBEBS DAB Micro System with iPod Dock
25 July 2014
Excerpt: I bought this particular Panasonic mini–stereo/Music player because I was fed up with listening to songs through my laptop computer speakers. Not which my speakers tend to be so bad, they are not (I have a Macintosh - will evaluate it later), but there’s simply no comparison in between …
Summary: I read reviews for this product which faulted the sliding door and iPod's tendency to cut out in the middle of a tune and thought I'd give it a try anyway because I was primarily interested in the FM radio function and liked the slim profile. The FM "antenna" is a very thin long wire which - I kid you not - you are instructed to hold up against the wall in various positions until you get good reception and then TAPE IT TO THE WALL! Really?
Summary: The sound system is great. The quality is good and it fits in well my the bedroom. I was actually considering a Bose system until I came across this one. The only drawback for me is that the FM antenna could be more powerful for reception. It has been a little over a month now and I have no regrets. Thinking on buying a second one...
Summary: First, this is a review of the SC-HC35, which they sent instead of the SC-HC30. I assume it's a newer model, but it looks the same. Anyways, the system runs just fine, sound is good. FM radio is good. However, part of the reason I was getting this was to use it as a clock radio/CD alarm. But I ran into a problem before testing that -- when you turn it to off/standby, the clock display disappears.
Summary: I actually gave a way a mini (but not micro) 5 cd system and I have an I pod player.... but I have hundreds of CD's and had no fm radio. I did not want something that took up a lot of space but sounded good for the money. I bought this refurbished as the newer models don't have as good reviews; and also as a money-saver. This is awesome. It sounds FAR better than my SONY mini cd system that I gave away. It takes up little space.
Summary: This stereo is great for the low price. Of course it does not sound as good as a $1,000 surround system that's 20 times the size, but that should not be expected. For such a small system, it sounds pretty good. It is very, very small and gives all the control you need over the ipod. This is much better than the 2011 version that is out right now..
