Summary: Great C.D but DAB radio lasted just over a year, had to go back to my five year old sony DAB radio, dont know how long DAB radios last but be aware they eat batterys compared to FM radios and the radios dont seem to last long except for my bulcky old sony radio have gone through four in nearly as many years.
Summary: recently purchased this player for an excellent price . peoples comments on the radio section are spot on ,how on earth panasonic allowed their name on this is beyond comprehension . cd , ipod are more than satisfatory, the rest i would boot into touch .I do not hold the seller responsible for this solely the manufacturers.
Panasonic SC-HC20DBEB DAB Micro System with Pod Dock
Friar Tuck, Amazon
22 December 2011
Summary: To be honest I am just a bit disappointed with this product. I didn't realise I would require an outside ariel for this Radio and having set it up with an indoor ariel I found that I could only receive 1 station. Further to this the clock is not now showing. I may yet buy an ariel for this item in the hope that all works OK. At this moment I do not intend to complain but I am still disappointed.
Summary: I had intended to get one of these, but was a little dubious due to the number of reviews critical of the digital radio reception. So today I visited my local Panasonic shop. They had all the other versions of this model on display but there was no sign of the SC-HC20DBEB. When I enquired if they had one in stock (£8 dearer than Amazon), I was told that they were not stocking it at the moment as there were reception issues with the digital radio, which rather confirms...
Summary: We have had the system for a couple of months now and have no complaints about the quality of sound. The build quality is good and typical of Panasonic. The "but" is an expensive one. Prior to puchase we checked at a local hi-fi shop on the quality of DAB reception in our area of Walton-on-Thames and we were assured that we would receive a good range of stations. The system was unable to find a single station, wherever we positioned the aerial!
Summary: The slender Panasonic unit is a great space-saver in the kitchen, with good tone and power to fill a fairly large room. It has solid low-profile switches and a decent enough remote control. CDs play with a clear, almost sharp sound, but depth too. Far, far better than the Sony radio/cd/cassette player I had in the same space. So far so good. The radio, however, has disappointed.
