Summary: Bought this for a family room for tv, games etc. Personally I hate surround sound, since when is a car door 4 times louder than the conversation? Who are the idiots mixing sound for movies? I don't know but I'm sick of it, I like decent sound that is realistic and this has it. The speakers are very heavy and have great quality all around.
I didn't find anything better than this at this price point.

Summary: There is better stuff out there, but not at this price. If you don't want to spend too much and don't intend to scare your neighbors away, this has great sound quality and works well for a large sized room. I have used this system with Sony speakers (the come with MHC-V40) and it sounds very good. But I think this product has been discontinued now.. the newer models have more features but don't sound that good ..maybe the new speakers are not so good.
Summary: Very happy with the Onkyo 325. Was even looking to buy a second one for my cottage. However, I don't think they make anymore, and now I'll need to move up to the one with IPOD adapter. But the 325 looks nice, sound quality great. Small compact fit.
Summary: Had this product for more than a year. Have been enjoying it since the first day. We have a full size Onkyo receiver (now 8 years old) for the family room. This is for the smaller living room. It's perfect! The power is more than enough for the room. CD player works great. Like the sound quality and the speakers. I have also tried all input types. Have connected MP3 players and PC through "Dock". It produces great sound for these too.
Summary: sound quality is very good for a unit of this price tag (~$200 from Vanns) you can connect your mp3 players if you buy a separate mp3 cord to rca plug, and this thing can go pretty loud. i hooked it up to my samsung tv, and the sound wasn't that impressive (mostly not loud enough). i don't know if it's the problem with the tv or this stereo. but for radio, cd, or mp3, this is pretty good for the money.
Summary: This compact stereo system has big clear sound in a small package! I'm using it in a den to provide room-filling sound for my HDTV/Media Mac setup. The included speakers are better than I expected, and have good bass without really needing a subwoofer. The system does support one though, if you want to add it. You also have two analog audio inputs to the system via standard RCA connectors.
Summary: This was a great purchase!! Excellent sound-from The Clash to Sinatra-everything sounds fantastic! Was worried from other reviews that would need sub-woofer but I just engaged the Super Base feature, adjusted base to +3 and treble to +1 and this stereo rocks-with volume at 28 I worry about the neighbors and the volume goes up to 50..
