Summary: I bought this a long time ago I loved it so much it was great to have a controller to bring anywhere with me controlling my stereo having thousands of song at my finger tip absolutely fantastic but it doesn't work with new computers
Summary: Logitech wireless DJ music system makes playing your music collection stored on your pc a breeze. You can search by artist name, album, genre, all by turning the wheel on the center of the remote. The screen is easy to read and makes creating a playlist very easy. The songs boot up very quickly and the sound quality is great. Makes parties fun because guests can look through your library and add to your song list. A definite must for those with a large music collection.
Summary: Finally, a way to unleash all the music on your PC without major hassles! I have tried several WLAN based systems, each of which I have either returned or used sparsely simply b/c they did not work or were not very user friendly. The Logitech DJ finally offers a solution that works and is easy to use. However, it is not without its faults: Positives: 1) Uses a dedicated wireless connection - so no hassles with WLAN security, signal strength, etc.
Summary: I received and installed the Wireless DJ today. My first challenge was that my computer runs Vista, and the version of Streampoint software included in the package wouldn't install. Luckily, the Logitech website had an updated version. Once I downloaded it, the new version installed easily. I was initially thrilled with the sound, but then after about an hour of playing with the controls, the sound quality began to sound terrible with horrible distortion.
Summary: First let me say that I upgraded from the old Logitech Wireless Music System which served me well for a few years. I originally bought this as a gift for my father for Christmas and set it up for him. The setup wasn't difficult, install the software, point it to your music directory/WMP, hookup the power and the RCA connectors and its good to go. The first impression I had with actually using the system was the quality of the remote.
Summary: Purchased the product a little over a month ago in order to stream music from my computer in my bedroom to my stereo in the family room @ 30-40 feet away. The setup was easy and it worked right away. I read other reviewer's comments and initially did not feel that the complaints about momentary stops in the music or issues with extensive music collections (I have @ 60 gb of music on my computer) were justified, but have recently run into both issues (music tends to skip...
Summary: Overall a very nice product. Was very simple to install as per the directions. Although it did reach the entire house the signal strength was weak from one end xmit to the other end (remote) so I ended up moving the xmiter to a more central location, along with the computer... Warns that it transmits on the same/similar frequency as 811 wireless networks and I did seem to have some interference at first, but not sure if was really jamming the wifi or not.
Summary: Setup is straight forward. Out of the box software had bugs that made it painful to use with itunes. Logitech has released a new software that addressed the known itunes problems. User Interface is acceptable. Overall this product gets 4 stars because of the value it offers for $219.
