Logitech Wireless DJ Wireless Music System
26 August 2008
Excerpt: Logitech has been an active member of the iPod accessory and digital music markets, and its recent acquisition of Slim Devices signals an even deeper commitment to digital audio. One of the company’s latest offerings, the Wireless DJ Music System, is actually a competitor to Slim Devices’ Squeezebox, but takes a somewhat different and unique approach to streaming music from PC to stereo.
Summary: The Logitech Wireless DJ Music System lets you access your PC's digital music collection from the palm of your hand.
Pros: The Logitech Wireless DJ Music System streams audio--including copy-protected DRM music and Internet radio--from your PC to your home stereo. The system is controlled from a handheld remote with a built-in display and an iPod-like scrollwheel that lets you view and navigate your music collection. The system utilizes a USB transmitter that hooks to your PC, along with a receiver, which doubles as a recharging station for the remote, so it doesn't need a wireless network.
Cons: The scrollwheel isn't quite as responsive the iPod's, and the wireless range--while decent--is less than advertised. The PC Control mode allows for maximum file compatibility but disables the remote's ability to browse when activated.
Conclusion: This Bluetooth-based wireless audio solution is best suited to Windows users who want to stream music wirelessly from their PC to their stereo without having to be at their PC to control the music.
Pros: Remote is easy to use. Works with all digital audio, including protected content. Reasonably good sound quality. Supports up to four wireless receivers. Doesn't require a network. Very interference-resistant.
Cons: Interface is a bit sluggish. You can stream to only one receiver at a time. Software is Windows-only.
Conclusion: There has been a lot of music stuck on my computer since the early days of Napster (while they were still debating the legality of all that). Marginal bitrates and substandard quality has stopped me from transporting it in one form or another to my Home Theater. While the Wireless DJ may have its faults, it gives you an easy and painless way to access the music that has been stranded there for so long. To say that I like this product is a massive understatement.
Pros: Easy setup and integration, Great range on the remote, Very good remote with easy to understand interface
Cons: No digital out on base, Some dropouts of audio
Excerpt: It is said that 40 percent of online households play music files on their computer and 33 percent listen to Internet radio streams. Sadly, less than 10 percent are paying any attention to their stereo. Sure, docking stations have better sound quality for MP3 devices, but they are little more than high-tech boom boxes.
Summary: Vi digger følelsen det gir å ha full oversikt over all PC-musikken vår fra sofakroken.

Inteligentné premostenie dvoch svetov ponúka novú úroveň komfortu a hudobného zážitku bez toho, aby ste si museli ničiť svoju chrbticu za klávesnicou.
Pros: + prepracovaná práca s archívom, + detailné vyhotovenie, + bezproblémová inštalácia, + možnosť rozširovania systému
