Logitech Squeezebox Boom

Hardware Pacers
1 April 2009
  • Summary: The Logitech Squeezebox Boom is an amazing network audio device that is unique in its function and sound. Brilliant audio oozes from the speakers of the Squeezebox from a range of user owned digital media to internet radio sites. As easy as taking the device out of the box, plugging the power adapter in, and connecting to a wireless network the Squeezebox is there to enable users with a plethora of audio enjoyment.

The 22nd century ghetto blaster.

Good Gear Guide.au
26 June 2009
  • Summary: Apart from a few small grievances we feel that the Logitech Squeezebox Boom is far and away the best all-in-one music streamer on the market.
  • Pros: Impeccable network streaming implementation, very easy to use, great sound
  • Cons: A few niggles with the interface and set up

Logitech Squeezebox Boom review

PriceRunner
17 February 2009
  • Excerpt: Designed for the muso who loves his tunes to sound as they should the Logitech Squeezebox Boom is a self-contained boombox-style music streamer that’ll have you listening to the Who on the loo or Radiohead in your shed, pronto…
  • Pros: This self-contained boombox-style radio uses its built-in Wi-Fi connection to stream MP3, WMA, AAC, AIFF, WMA Lossless, Apple Lossless, WAV and FLAC files from a PC or Mac, as well as access thousands of Internet radio stations, including the equivalent of Timmy Mallett in Spain’s breakfast show on Radio Uno (and you thought the Mallett was annoying in English)! And thanks to its bi-amped speakers, it manages to belt out storming, beefy stereo sound.
  • Cons: There’s not much to pick at here, but we suppose the price tag and lack of additional features such as DAB or FM might put some people off. You can in and output audio courtesy of two 3.5mm sockets, though.

Musikgenuss, so weit das WLAN reicht: Logitech Squeezebox Boom

CNET
1 October 2008
  • Pros: umfangreiche Codec-Unterstützung, leistungsfähige PC-Software, einfache Bedienung, Zusammenarbeit mit Last.fm, Podcast-Unterstützung
  • Cons: keine Unterstützung für DRM-geschützte WMA-Dateien, Kopfhöreranschluss schlecht positioniert
