Summary: This is a fantastic stereo. It works really well. So far I have used it to listen to music from my ipod and I have used bluetooth to listen to music from my phone. I have also managed to receive phone calls through it. I am delighted!
Excerpt: I had reservations about changing the factory fitted unit but I needed a usb/aux facilities. The radio that I ordered was discontinued and the JVC was recommended. I had no problem in fitting the new radio but did need a new surround kit to accommodate the the new unit. So the cost went up. Radio sounds and looks good.. glad I baught the radio and would recommend to anyone with the same usb/aux problem I had. Have not used the bluetooth as yet.
Summary: Very nice unit, easy to install took less than 5 minutes and was ready to use, the settings were slightly confusing but not rocket science. Hands free function works well especially incoming calls. Looks great sounds great and for the money is worth every penny.
Excerpt: This is a lovely unit with great sound. Unfortunately it loses out in 2 areas. 1. Searching for albums/tracks on digital media is fiddly and not intuitive. This could be seen as dangerous while driving 2. There is no Adaptive Volume Control so you might find yourself constantly changing volume according to speed.
Summary: I originally ordered the JVC KW-XR811 Double DIN Bluetooth/iPod/USB/Variable Illumination , but Car Audio Warehouse phoned a few days later to say they no longer stocked that product. Instead, they recommended the KW-R600BTE, as it was both cheaper and newer (it's the model which replaced the KW-XR811). Delivery was quick and the packaging was adequate.
