Summary: I love my music round the house and bought this for my bedroom. I'm fairly serious about my music and think it should be delivered on high quality apparatus. I'd definitely say that the M1 is a good bedroom or kitchen music system but in bigger rooms could sound a little lifeless. The best feature and its major attraction for most people is that you can dock your iPod and listen to all your great tunes.
Summary: I got this for £45 and nearly wet myself with excitement when I realised what a great buy that had been, for the price you really must get this product! It is extraordinarily high quality for something so cheap and is compatible with every modern form of music distribution. Those of you who have read my other reviews will know that I still use CDs alongside an MP3 player, but I avoid using an iPod whenever I can.
Pros: Lots of features, cheap, works with every format!
Summary: When I opened the box on my birthday to see the iSymphony M1 I was a bit taken aback at what use I could have for such a high-tech looking Hi-Fi system in the all-but-vast expanse of my bedroom... Infact, as I unplugged my tiny and ancient computer speakers it was hard to really decide if they would be of benefit at all - but boy do these make a difference!
Pros: Functions, ease of use and general presentation perfect for the home
Cons: Not quite up to the level of higher value HiFis
Summary: Paid £120 for this system a year ago and am astonished to see it (or something very similar to it, not sure if it is the same model) drop down to £40. £120 is arguably a little overprice. The sound quality is powerful and good, although not as crisp and striking as a Bose Docking Station or a B&W Zeppelin....but then it isn't £400! Nonetheless, £120 is maybe too much, but for £40 it is a bargain and a must by.
Pros: Charges iPods, decent sound quality, powerful, good remote control.
Cons: DAB confusing, not as crisp as a higher quality stereo
Summary: I have owned my i-syphony for around two years now and overall I think it is a great HiFi system. I looked around for a while for a HiFi system that I could dock my i-pod into but also play CD's and listen to the radio as well. This system was one of the cheapest on the market at the time which is why I decided to go for it. I especially like the look of this particular HiFi, it is very compact and also quite light which makes it easy to transport.
Pros: Cheaper than alot of similar items on the market
Summary: I have had this player for over a year now, and can honestly say it's one of the best stereo systems I've ever owned. I spent a considerably long time looking for a stereo system that had a proper iPod interface, not just an auxiliary function. The iSymphony comes with a number of dock attachments which allows you to dock in a great number of different generation iPods.
