Summary: I love the sound quality, but the volume is not up to my expectations of harman kardon. I had sound of the theater speakers in the past, and they rocked. I expected BIG sound and didn't get it.
Summary: GREAT SOUND WHEN I ATTACH MY IPHONE 4 AND IPHONE 4S TO THE UNIT. IT EVEN CHARGES MY PHONE WHILE LISTENING TO MUSIC THROUGH MY IPHONE. IF YOU HAVE THE IPHONE 5, I DON'T KNOW IF THE ATTACHMENT CONNECTS TO THE UNIT. ALSO, I JUST WISHED THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY MUSIC WIRELESSLY AND NOT HAVING TO ATTACH MY PHONE TO THE UNIT.
Summary: I looked at many different speakers before chosing the Harmon Kardon Micro speaker. I have a Bose speaker and didn't want to spend that much money for a 2nd portable speaker. I'm very pleased with the sound quality and it rivals the Bose sound I have at a fraction of the cost. Sound quality and style are '5' Star. The only reason I gave it '4' Stars is the remote. I was disappointed that it wouldn't control my ipod touch. It would adjust sound but that was it.
Summary: Received the Harman Kardon, it came very well packed. The instruction / manual leaves a bit to be desired, but they are not know for that. That unit played up to the Harman Kardon reputation. Crisp and clear sound with no distortion. The cord, if used is plenty long enough to satisfy those needs when the unit must be plugged into the wall. the remote is a nifty gadget and even has an onboard place for ease of carry. The handle is very sturdy and extremely stylish.
Summary: Wasn't sure if this was worth the original $300 price, but at the sale price at over 50% off it's a really good deal for a solid ipod speaker system. The pros: * Battery operated option - though it is 6 C batteries * Great sound, good depth and clarity especially at higher volumes * Nice simple design, I really like the simplicity of the 3 buttons, though a shuffle button would have been nice.
Summary: I bought one of these for my 13-year-old nephew last month, as a graduation gift from Junior High. I was looking for great sound quality across the volume spectrum, good quality build, full function remote and portability (ability to run on batteries). Based on specs and reviews, the Go+Play appeared to deliver on all fronts, so I had one shipped to him. Unfortunately, the unit he received produced no sound out of one of the front speakers.
Harman Kardon Go+Play Micro Speaker System for iPod
19 May 2011
Summary: First off, I couldn't believe the size of the package when it arrived. It's pretty big for a portable system. There is nothing 'micro' about it despite the fact that it's advertised as a portable micro speaker system. Looking beyond the size, it's a beautiful, well designed system. The stainless steel handle adds an aesthetic and fashionable touch to the unit. The volume control and power button are cleverly integrated into a circular disc on the left side of the unit.
Summary: Harman Kardon is known for quality sound and this system held up to most of my expectations and exceeded in others. The Go+Play Micro Speaker System is designed for iPod but says in the description that it will work with other MP3 players as well. We have a variety of MP3 players in our home: iPod Classic 5th Gen, iPod Touch 2nd Gen, SanDisk Sansa Li'l Monsta, and a SanDisk Sansa View. The Go+Play worked with all with NO problem!
Summary: Overall, I enjoy the sound quality of the Harman Kardon. It's a little heavy on the base side--and there's no equalizer for controlling sound outputs--but it provides relaxing acoustics in my bedroom. It also sounds great when turned up loud. The instructions for the unit are not crystal clear, but it's pretty simple matter to attach your iPhone or iPod in the dock, launch the iTunes player, and you're good to go.
Summary: Wonderful, rich sound, as advertised. We are hearing parts of songs where we turn to each other and say "Where did that come from?". That is, once we are able to insert the iPod Touch (same size as the iPhone) or the iPod Classic into the system. They both work, but for the first time, I've had to make use of the little plastic adapters. My set of adapters came with a teeny instruction sheet as to which VERY tiny-numbered adapter works with which ipod.
