Summary: I bought this speaker because it was a Bose. I wanted "better sound through research," and I definitely got it. I was worried when I heard someone say it wasn't loud enough; they were probably deaf, it gets very loud and sounds clean all the way through. It sounds like a Bose speaker, but it isn't manufactured like a Bose. It is very solid except for the trim around the side panels, which feel like cheap plastic pieces. This is where the manufacturer cut costs.
Pros: quality sound easy-to-use attractive excellent bluetooth range
Cons: some cheap components mediocre battery life (3 hours) an "expensive bargain"
Solidly built, sounds good, pairs well with laptop

Summary: Solid piece of equipment which "liberated" my music library on my laptop. My whole family can now enjoy my collection without headphones, and not relying on the little tinny speakers built into my laptop. Sound quality is very good. However, don't expect stereo separation from this small box. It seems very well built, but is more heavy than I expected. I wouldn't toss this into a light cloth bag and go- it is more like carrying around a brick.
Pros: very good sound quality quality construction portable
Cons: too expensive (like all bose products) heavier than i expected blue tooth is a little finicky in my opinion
Summary: Porchased this for my wife's birthday to use with her IPod. What a great sounding speaker for such a small package. Have since sync'd it with our smart phones, tablet and laptop. Did alot of research and listened to a number of similar products for alot less money and this is definitely worth the extra cost. I have read a number of reviews and have determined the complaint of sync drop out is not the speaker but the sync'd device.
Pros: great sound compact & very portable easy to use quality built
Summary: I bought the first Bose soundlink. It was great, I really loved it. My 2 complaints would have been the power adapter was too big and there was no remote. The soundlink 2 came out and I was tempted but I waited. The mini came out and I was more then tempted, anything smaller is a huge bonus for me. I read reviews. Then went to Best Buy to test it. I bought it immediately. Sounds great, the power adapter is small and very smart.
Summary: Before this Bose came out I spent about an hour at Best Buy deciding between the Beats Pill, Jambox and the Jabra Soulmate. Went with the Soulmate. It had the best overall sound according to my ear for what was available at the time. Jambox and the Beats were just to tinny. Soulmate had the best balance. Had the Bose Soundlink Mini been available at that time I would definitely have chosen it. This has amazing sound for its size. The build quality is excellent.
