Peak Protection from Trend
3 April 2011
Summary: I have had great performance from Trend over the years. This version seems to carry on the tradatition but could allow for a little more specific/customized control as older versions have done.
Summary: Trendmicro titanium 2012 uses cloud-based technology and ensures a proactive threat barrier. Trendmicro titanium has improved features that protect content from malicious code on social networking sites and links. Trendmicro titanium 2012 has features trendmicro vault with remote file lock and the safesync account that allows you to keep all your critical content synced in the 10 gb online storage and checks this content on any web-enabled device.
Summary: I have used this product for the last year and it is very effective and easy to configure. I do however find the renewal pricing absolutely offensive. On the US site to renew for 2 years costs about US$125 (however it won't allow transactions for people outside the US.) The Australian site wants about twice that - all for a download! Tired of being robbed by companies like Trend Micro and will be looking for an alternate.
Pros: Works well all round
Cons: Renewal price gauging for people outside the US
Summary: I have been happy with Trend Micro up until the last upgrade - 2012 version. Since doing this, accessing programs and the net was taking ages. Rang Micro Trend and got no answer, twice. Tried to upload a "fix" off their website - no better. Now using Microsoft Security Essentials - for free. My PC has sped up considerably. Donated my last 6 months of Trend Micro to the recycle bin.
Summary: Terrible application. Keeps reminding about expiry date CONSTANTLY. Password resets are NOT automatically sent to your nominated email account. Constant spam about their other products. Hangs all the time in Win 7 64bit. Terrible - don't go there! Thinking of getting rid of the app once installed? Think again. Leaves garbage all over your hard-drive.
Pros: Looks pretty
Cons: Password resets, spam about other products, not user friendly.
Summary: as I wrote about the problems with trend after installing in my computer and my husbands, the computer (his) is saying securing marylouise and timothys computer, i don't think this is normal. please help.
Cons: My husband used it, and myself. My husbands computer is now stating my name.
"not good, after installing one week ago, it now is saying unprotected upgrade."

Summary: My husband and I purchased the new Titanium. Maximum security 2011, after installing this program it stated protected, now 1 week later, it is saying not protected purchase now!!!! Please help me what has gone wrong with this. This Disk has been put in two brand new lap tops. What is wrong, or is someone trying to access the computer? please help.
Pros: We had trend before and no complaints.
Cons: our new one has something wrong please help me.
Summary: excellent at preventing infection with cloud based detection, really miss having a configurable personal firewall though. do have serious doubts over the ability of scanning engines ability to detect any existing infections. if your system is clean before you install it this protection seems to stop anything that could be thrown at it.
Pros: light on system resources
Cons: no outgoing protection with windows firewall
Summary: Bought a 2 year subscription in 2009 which I most certainly won't be renewing. One of the most annoying aspects is the inability to turn off Spyware controls for more than 30 minutes although the new delayed system start-up option does decrease start-up lag.
Pros: Less buggy than Trend Micro Internet Security 2010
