Summary: I had this on a computer years ago and it stunk then too. I only tried it because it was a deal, but I guess not. I have this on 3 PC's and Bitdefender on 3 pc's. Bitdefender works great.
Pros: Blocks viruses I guess.
Cons: Constantly want's "me to "get your Norton tool bar back" . Half the time it shows that a website is safe to visit with a green check mark the other half it doesn't. Lately it's slowed my computer down considerably. Hate it !
Pros: I switch between Norton internet security & Norton 360 they both work equally well. I purchase by price & usually have a spare around of either & also purchase for friends & family. Symantec has come a long way from Norton System works which as far as I was concerned was a disaster having to rein...
Summary: Even with the Razer-Norton conflicts, I enjoy this product. And at $20 it was a steal.
Pros: * Bought it on a massive sale @ only $20! * Low resource hogging * Nice Silent Mode for gaming * Daily AV updates * Includes Firewall
Cons: * Razer Synapse problems, If you own a Razer Kraken headset, you'll need to use a trick or Norton will crash without end. Disable Synapse on startup, load windows, log off and re-enter. Now you can safely start Synapse and Norton won't crash for infinity. Not a dealbreaker, but certainly an annoy...
Summary: I have no idea what to plan on using next. I've read reviews and I don't see a clear "winner" with the best anti-virus, firewall, malware, etc protection.
Pros: I've been using Norton Internet Security since 2003. I did try another product once for a year but went back to Norton again. I used to always recommend this to family and friends. It doesn't even catch obvious spam in Outlook anymore.
Cons: Now It doesn't seem to be anywhere near as reliable at detecting malware, viruses and trojans as my malware software. All it ever seems to find are "tracking cookies" and that's only if I haven't run my cookie cleaner when it does a quick scan.
Summary: Works as promised. Since there is no perfect totally comprehensive protection, I use NIS in tandem with IOBit's Advanced System Care. With these two I feel well protected and seem to have little trouble.
Pros: I stopped using Norton Internet SEcurity and 360 several years ago whenn it grew to be a bloated resource hog. I returned after it was slimmed down and speedee up (2010 or so). I am happy that I did; I use it across ~ 5-8 platforms in the office/household and recommend it to colleagues and those ...
Cons: It is not perfect; no protection suites are; see below..
