Summary: I advise keeping an eye on the forum pages, if you're having problems; Better Yet, Check them beFore you buy, to see if any other problems are common at that time. One PC Magazine review did say that Anti-Spam was "inaccurate", but I did not follow up on it.
Pros: Definitely a noticeable improvement over previous versions! Seems to be working; I'm noticing no "surprises"*
Cons: No Surprises, anyMORE.. since I did have to Uninstall/ReInstall, to get rid of an unsuccessful trojan deletion in its history. I manually deleted the trojan, anyway, but Norton kept trying to tell me it was still there, unsuccessfully deleted. Forum postings let me know it's a common problem, but...
Summary: If You like simple. AVG has been highly recommended. But I hear it's not like it use to be. Use's a lot more system recommends than it use to. Not as good for gaming as it use to be. But it would be my second chose. Kaspersky takes a lot of resources to. Stay away !!!!!
Pros: Lot of bells and wise's , updates ever couple of min; in the background. Does not use much resources as I was told, for you gamers out there. A good security system take a lot of resources any ways if you think about it. Maximum PC and PC World magazine gave good reviews. And it has Identity prot...
Cons: Norton firewall can Blocks some stuff, if not careful like AIM or firefox , if you do not now that your doing.
Summary: Would be good to see traffic that is blocked and/or allowed, but that is the price for low resource usage.
Pros: Works good, so far easy to install , requires update immediately, user interface fairly easy to understand.
Cons: Wish each instillation would start with 365 days of service, only first install gets full 1 year service, unless you install all 5 copies on the same day, for each install you lose the time that has passed since the first install.
Summary: If given the option to "right-click" and scan a particular file on demand I would have given this 5 eggs but the lack of that tool and the little amount of tweaking in the menus, I have to give Norton Internet Security 2009 4 out of 5 eggs.
Pros: I've owned Norton A/V in the past and I know from first hand expierence what a cr*ptacular piece of software it was. I swore I would never go Norton again, however, after reading countless (approx. 20) online reviews of various security suites there was one particular suite that kept getting rave...
Cons: I am very upset to learn that NIS 2009 does not give me the ability to "right-click" a file and order it to specifically scan that file for a virus. Kaspersky gave me this option and I used ALL the time. I will sorely miss that ability and am pretty annoyed I can no longer use that tool. While th...
Summary: I really like the fact that you can load it on 3 computers.
Pros: I was ready to purchase 'ZoneAlarm Antivirus 2009', but after looking at the reviews I switched from 'Norton 360' to 'Norton Internet Security 2009'. Installation was easy and it loads and shuts down much faster than 360 did. It doesn't appear to consume systems resources as previous Norton produ...
Excerpt: Den här lätta och snabba virus skyddet skyddar din dator super bra. Den är som sagt lätt dvs. att den stör inte ditt dator användande och segar inte ner datorn som vissa andra virus program gör.
