It killed my computer
Nolan H., Newegg

Summary: I don't know if the software works or not. It is good at causing system failures. Even on a clean install (thought it might be a conflict) still caused mass system failure. Product needs to go back to beta.
Cons: Would give negative stars if possible. Wasted 6 hours with tech support after computer was totally hosed from the upgrade. Would not return multiple emails. Had to do a total format to fix all the problems. A total waste of a week and I big pain.
Summary: I was a legacy user of Norton products, starting back in The Day, even before Windows came along. They were a respected, top-notch provider of utility and protection software. Then their products evolved over time to become massive bloatware, and I and many others abandoned them in favor of other...
Pros: None come to mind, as it was never installed.
Cons: This product is not compatible with XP Pro 64-bit. Do not spend your money on this thing. The packaging does not specifically state that it is incompatible with XP Pro 64-bit. I had to spend my money, uninstall my previous protection software, and begin installation of this product before it info...
Summary: I installed this on four different machines and have used it for two months. I am now uninstalling it. I could deal with the constant scans which dramatically slow down performance, but I cannot stand the constant popups. Popups, popups, popups. Norton is doing this. Norton is doing that.
Pros: Didn't catch a virus with this installed.
Cons: Didn't catch a virus because this product made it difficult and frustrating to use the computer at all.
Pros: Nothing this product is one big STINKER!!!!!!
Cons: Got a bad virus right after installing this and had to redo my harddrive. Now I am getting "framework" errors and it shuts down the program. They have a fix but it will not download to my computer!!! This is my fault for giving Symantec another try, this program is going in the trashcan and I vow...
Summary: Can't believe that swapping out my mobo would invalidate my previously working license!
Pros: Effective and comprehensive protection, low-resource use
Cons: Activation problems after upgrading motherboard. Same disk but after booting up with new motherboard Norton says I need to activate the product. But when I go to activate it, it tells me I have exceeded the allowed license count and must buy a new license or mail-in all sorts of verification docu...
