Summary: Well, I don't have any viruses. It works. Makes me feel better. And only cost [$]. Next time, though, I'm just going to get one of the free versions of virus checkers. After working with Linux and Mac for the last 10 years - I long for the days of not having to think about lackadasical security and architecture. A girl can dream.
Summary: 2009 Norton antivirus version has been improved significantly. It does not take up all space in your computer system and it runs faster. Virus removal performance is also better this year as it is able to remove the most tricky viruses. Overall I am happy with this software.
Summary: This new Symantec antivirus version has been improved a lot compared with the last version. The software did not slow down my system as badly as it did last time. I thought I would never go back using Symantec softwares but I gave it another try. I was not disappointed this time. Virus removal efficiency has also been improved a little.
Summary: This is the best norton product yet! It's really streamlined, installs quickly and uses very little resources. It's a 3-user edition, so I can install it on multiple computers. NOte that symantec is very an** about software activation, as when I did a vista reinstall, I had to reactive NAV 2009, but I had already exceeded my installs. This was on an IDENTICAL computer/hardware/etc. Had to go thru online chat to fix this, and was on hold for 45-minutes.
Summary: User interface on 2009 is completely different. I completely removed my Norton AntiVirus 2008 software BEFORE installing Norton AntiVirus 2009 on both my Desktop PC (Windows XP) and laptop PC (Windows Vista). The installation on both operating systems was successful. The features I was used to in the earlier versions are still available in 2009, you just have to look around in different places on the main menu to find them.
Pros: No problems upgrading from Norton AntiVirus 2008.
