Summary: I've also used NOD32, Avast, Kaspersky and BitDefender in the past, before finally settling on this.
Pros: First of all , I would like to say that I have hated just about every past Norton Program. Apparently they finally started listening to their customers. -Starts Quickly -Low Resource Usage (even when not in gaming mode) -Unobtrusive Interface
Cons: The memory of every past Norton product i've used. Other than that, none.
Summary: This will be the last Symantec product I ever buy. To completely halt an application because the AV definition subscription expired is absolutely no way to treat your 'customers'.
Pros: Did it's job where antivirus was concerned.
Cons: One computer took 4 months and 4 calls to Symantec to get working, while having issues uninstalling Norton AV 2006. The worst part is that now that the year is up, the entire application quits because I am not paying Symantec for antivirus updates. Since when does a locally installed application ...
Summary: Nothing I could find on the Norton website indicated a compatibility problem. So I ordered the 3 user box. Will not install unless I uninstall Zone alarm which I am not doing. I stopped using Norton products years ago. I guess I should have known better!
Pros: can't say
Cons: Norton Antivirus 2009 is not compatible with Zonealarm Free
Summary: I researched for a while to find the most gamer friendly antivirus and all the non biased reviewers agree it's this product by a long shot. Loads of options and great protection. Easily comprehensible interface and ships with instruction booklet.
Pros: Loads up in less than a miunte. New Egg's impeccable service. Cheaper than Norton's website. Gamer mode...nuff said.
Summary: 2009 Norton antivirus version has been improved significantly. It does not take up all space in your computer system and it runs faster. Virus removal performance is also better this year as it is able to remove the most tricky viruses. Overall I am happy with this software.
Summary: Expert reviews of this product have shown it to be significantly better than most at detecting and removing malware. Although this has traditionally been true of NAV, past versions have earned a well-deserved reputation for slowing down whatever system they were installed on.
Pros: Doesn't hog resources like older NAV did. Very frequent signature updates. Scans during idle time. Simple, clean user interface. Works well with Windows 7 RC. Does its job very well.
Summary: Satisfied with the performance of Norton AV 2009 1 user version, I have no hesitation to get this multi user NAV 2009 package for other PCs. In the last few years as a long time users of Norton's products, I have reluctantly switched to other antivirus programs because Norton Antivirus was...
Pros: New and improved; fast; lean and easy to install.
Cons: Tarnished by previous resource hog versions.
