Summary: If you are looking for a anti-virus product really do your research. Norton is panned by almost every experienced PC user.. and people who write positive comments are usually Norton employees doing damage control and promotion(which is actually a documented part of their job). Bottom line? Norton works but will eat your system resources making your PC run slow.. just like a virus.
Not a good alrounder and the worst detection rate ever!

Excerpt: Well I have to say this is my most detested product in the world ever! I have always thought that Norton products were the best on the market, how wrong was I. In the beginning, when I was not as computer literate as I am now, we were told by PC world that Norton was the best and that we should get it for our system.
Excerpt: I was not impressed with Norton anti virus and was very interested to read the other post on about Norton, as I also had problems when I used it. It came free as part of my package when I brought my last computer although I had used it before. It seemed ok when I was an AOL subscriber but when I moved house and started using cable it was a nightmare it was slow, stalled, completely froze and the only way to unlock it was to keep turning the computer off.
Worst Virus Protection I've ever seen (our IT guys too)

Excerpt: My first negative review ever. My upper management decided somehow that this was going to help. Lets face it, most virus protection is the same and will work only if people stop trying to access sites they know they shouldn't. But this particular brand and especially this (260 2.0) version is horrible. Our IT guys set it up to run the lengthy scans at night and guess what, it was still running the next morning on the first day.
I wouldn't recommend Norton 360 on anything less than Vista

Excerpt: We bought a Dell Inspiron running Vista, bundled with it was Norton 360 it runs well with no problem, loaded on to a second Dell also running Vista with no problem. The Mesh PC with Windows XP we have had the Norton licence expire and we decided to use the third 360 licence on it. Loaded fine, after rebooting the system crashed, uninstalled Norton 360 and system ran beautifully again, reloaded Norton system crashed straight away.
Cons: Consume muchos recursos . Ralentiza el sistema . Hay que registrarse cada año .
