Pros: Compatible with several platforms (Android, Mac and PCs). Got a perfect score from AV-Test and top scores from other labs. Very good price if you are protecting 4 or 5 devices. It comes with anti-theft features for your Android device. When you lock a device it automatically transmits location ev...
Cons: It can get expensive if you are just protecting a couple of devices. If you renew by entering a key it will remove your remaining days. You could open a chat and have the time added back but I think I should not have to.
Wrong One Size Fits All "Norton Anti Virus" Replacement
Roger O., Newegg
7 August 2015
Pros: Use Norton Anti Virus for many years with satisfaction for our computers. At end of 2014 attempted to purchase Norton AntiVirus licences, but was redirected to Symantec Norton Security as the replacement for Norton AntiVirus. Norton Security is not same customer focused product as Norton AntiViru...
Cons: Centralized control of security searches. Not controlled by user as allowed by Norton Anti Virus.
Summary: Fiance's PC got something unwanted while she was playing with her Facebook plugins. Having recently read about Norton's online help, I decided to be the hands-off-type and TRY letting them resolve the issue.
Pros: Good price Covers my desktops, laptops and tablet Responsive support online Unobtrusive (most of the time)
Cons: Shipping a card is less convenient than emailing a reg.# Doesn't protect against malware. Haven't yet figured out how to revoke exceptions The money-back-guarantee conditions are VERY specific
Summary: For all our non-technical friends, no matter what A/V protection you choose, remember to utilize a free copy of mbytes to help keep/remove the nasty nasties off your computer.
Pros: I'm not a big fan of the Norton 360 products due to the extra overhead. (not such a big deal with most pc's shipping with 4GB RAM or more). But I like the flexibility of all the extra apps/utilities. It was very easy to install on notebooks, desktops, tablets, and smartphones along with being abl...
Cons: none so far, but I'm not online as much as the average computer user, I try my best to only use safe websites so I can't be sure it will guard against all malware/virus/spyware attacks.
Pros: I work in computer repair and virus removal. I use this product on all my home computers also. We recommend Norton because of all the AV products out there, Norton is the one product we very seldom see come into the shop. We get in McAfee, AVG, Avast, Kaspersky and many more for virus removal, bu...
Cons: The only Con I can think of is that Norton sometimes interferes with outgoing mail if you use Outlook or Outlook Express. We have not run into the virtual drive issue as of yet but as I read some of the comments I am sure we will.
Cons: I currently have Norton 360 running on a PC. I brought this in hope of extending my current subscription. The program said it was not the same product and would not accept the new product key as a update.
Horrible if you have windows 8.1 and mounted disks...
Veneet S., Newegg
1 April 2015
Pros: none...didn't work!
Cons: If you have mounted drives (OFFICE anyone!) then you will get a blue screen of death. Its been 4 months that Norton has known about this problem and still no fix....do not buy (right now at least)
